Evans has signed and said his final 3 were Bama, LSU, and Georgia. See playblair, kid trolled aggy the whole time. Time for you to admit aggy is mediocre no matter where they are be it Big 12 or SEC. Going into next year with 1 scholarship RB plus only bringing in a low 3* from Georgia. Aggy struck out on every big time RB with only 1 scholarship RB on the roster, time to take off your homer glasses and realize mediocre is mediocre and always will be. Recruits see padding win totals every year against Southland conference teams and UTSA don't amount to anything.

I have given you proof that he was the primary recruiter for Stroud, what do you have? Nothing but the word of a liar. You are weak. I'm pretty sure you've never been laid. Go back to momma and eat some more Doritos.

once again i prove u wrong this coming from texas own sites

***Was told Yurcich isn’t known as a prolific recruiter – not at Ohio State or Oklahoma State – but is a dang good coach and quarterback developer. So, if this happens, look for Yurcich to pair him with some dynamic recruiters. he isn’t a guy like Tim Beck who will help recruit a bunch of positions. I was told you’ll need to pair him with some good recruiters

hmmmm u were so wrong about stroud recruitment..........

three sources with direct knowledge told Lettermen Row that the lack of communication from Yurcich nearly derailed the program’s pursuit of C.J. Stroud.

You would believe anything posted on the internet. It's funny how all of these Ohio State sites are now saying how bad of a coach Yurcich was, you never heard a word before he became the Texas OC.

I guess you never heard the term Sour Grapes.

technically, you are correct but i expect 4-star recruit devon achane (listed as an all-purpose back) to be listed on the RB depth chart. considering how well ainias smith performed at RB in the bowl game, and the lack of depth at the position, i would not be surprised to see him get a lot of time as a slot back and even at the traditional RB spot in 2020. what will be interesting is how this would potentially alter jimbo's pro-style and running back based offense.

here is a recruit breaking down why he chose florida over texas......texas needs out if the conference in the worst way....stop being pretentious& join the sec with ou

And the Big 12, no matter what anybody says, I promise you, the NFL respects the SEC more than the Big 12. If I were to go to the University of Texas and get five sacks, right hand to God I would probably go undrafted. In the SEC, the University of Florida, if I get five sacks I'll probably go to the draft and it will probably be in like the fifth round. If I have good numbers, speed and all that stuff, numbers are all right, I would probably get drafted in the later rounds.

"It's crazy, same numbers, same everything but two different conferences. That's when I started thinking to myself I need to look at the SEC more."

hunter washington who committed to fsu today was the recruit who tried to commit to texas last week but herman wouldnt accept his commitment

Hunter Washington was the player who wanted to commit a few weeks ago. I didn’t see the need to bring it up but Texas decided to move in a different direction. I personally don’t care for shining that type of light on a kid, but I can’t stop other sites from doing what they will.

via horns mods

From what I’ve heard the staff has decided to trust their evaluations more, and worry less about recruiting rankings. They feel burned by some character issues in the last few cycles and would rather have slightly lower ranked players with fewer character issues. We’ll see how this works out.

I'll say this, and I really dont' want to discuss it much more because a commitment date should be an exciting day for a kid and I don't want his to be about people discussing if he should be a take. Our WR class is only going to be about 2 guys in this cycle, and we don't have any seniors so I don't sweat what Coleman is doing with recruiting. I love the video on Cain, he looks legit. For Coleman, the proof is going to be in the results. He needs to make what we have on campus look legit, then the other big boys are going to start looking our way. Two years ago we had the best WR haul in the country, time for those guys to step up and prove it.

Yes, you are right, he hates Texas and wants to drive the program into the ground, he hates his career and wants to sabotage it just to spite the Texas fans. What you don't know is he secretly hates puppies and Jesus.

You did the same thing last year and we had a damn good class. Let the season play out, then lets see where we are at, he is either going to have a great season and a great class or he is going to have a crappy season and a crappy class and then get replaced.

No middle road this year.

Keep in mind that most of the kids that have committed have done so without visiting their the schools they have committed to. This is going to be a big year for kids de-committing and committing elsewhere.

Texas is going to have a great year baring some crazy injuries like last year, and if they do, then then some of these guys we missed on are going to be coming back around. The big thing is that Texas needs to win those big games. Right now other schools are telling recruits that Tom Herman is about to be fired, and Texas can't put kids into the NFL.

Both are actually valid as of right now, but if Tom has a good year both those arguments will be done.

He says it so I guess it must be true. Over the last 5 years, every Texas 5'star has either gotten drafted or is still in school. It's an easy search, Texas has had one 5'star and that was Malik Jefferson.

Of our 4'star guys, As with every coaching change, there is always a lot of attrition. Texas from the 2015 class had something like 17 4'star and 9 of those transferred before their 2nd year. That left 8 4'star players, 2 retired for medical reasons, 3 didn't pan out and 3 got drafted. Plus a couple of 3'star guys also got drafted.

Herman is doing a much better job at developing than Mack or strong has done. Texas has put several 3'star guys into the NFL. Poona Ford, Connor Williams, Lil Jordan Humphrey, and Michael Dickson.

Are we doing as well as Ohio State? No, and that goes for LSU, Bama, Georgia etc. However Texas has been a bad team for the last 10 years, and only under Herman we have started to come out from under this rock. I'm not worried what one recruit is being told by Ohio State, they tell the same thing to every kid they recruit in the state of Texas. It's their sell. Doesn't mean it is true.

My first choice is to blow up both the Big 12 and Pac 12 to form a new single conference headlined by Texas, USC and blowu. Get rid of the teams that don't belong like ISU WSU Tech etc. My second choice is Texas and blowu to the Big 10. It would tip the balance of power away from the SEC.

If neither of those happen then I'd prefer Texas to go independent, then they can make their own rules.

The Auburn news would make for another chapter in an ongoing back and forth with Chad Morris. It's no secret in the coaching community that Morris doesn't care for Tom Herman, and his Arkansas staff threw some pretty negative recruiting tactics at past targets.
decommitments aren't great, but from the digging I did today, it's hard to find fault with anyone on the Texas staff for this one.

It's only an matter of time before Davis decommits from them as well, he is one of those kids that can't make up their mind. Campbell wasn't a big loss and McRee was a mystery to begin with.

It's May, stop worrying about decommitments, You can start to worry about this in November.

Kids who commit before they even visit a campus are doing so based on hype and playing time. You are going to see so many decommitments later on it's going to be crazy, and I'm not talking about Texas, I'm talking about every P5 school out there.

Vito Corleone
05-27-2020, 09:17 AM
If he wants to play in half empty stadiums getting crushed by ACC teams that is up to him. Miami is a great school with lots of distractions like Miami beach, but if he goes there he isn't as smart as I thought he was. He is coming into a situation where the starting QB is a senior and the backup is a junior. He could beat out 2 other guys and be a 3 year starter at Texas. Now I don't know what the situation is at Miami but the QB situation isn't much better I'm sure. Now if he thinks he can beat out the other QB that LSU took well then they are a threat.

As far as I'm concerned, QB is one of the deepest spots on the roster and if he doesn't want to play here I'm sure we will get someone that will.

Clayton Smith recruitment. OU got Smith because Riley was personally recruiting him, and they knocked it out of the park on his virtual visit (with Riley wearing a Cowboys jersey, no less). I don't really know who else Riley has personally recruited during his time at OU, though.
Meanwhile, Herman's big personal recruiting projects were Broughton in 2019, Leal in 2018, and Chaisson in 2017. One for three

Absolutely not true!!!!

The only reason Bijan Robinson picked Texas is because of his relationship with Stan Drayton. All of Broughton, And Collins both talked about how close they are to Giles when they were being recruited. I think you are getting off your meds again.

Carrington does what he does and he does it for every recruit, he didn't just help out Giles and Drayton, he helps out everyone. Texas is lucky to have him, but those 3 recruits are at Texas because of their position coaches.

I have my opinion on this, but I keep saying this. The University is there for the education of the youth, not for us old dudes. This to me is something that is up to the student body. This is their school. I know there are lots of Alumni that have invested much to the University and feel they have a say, but to me I would say allow those who are current students decide. Let them make the University their school.

Keep in mind, I'm related to some of these people whose names appear on buildings and were fighting for the South in the Civil war. I respect them very much, but I'm not vested into the University like the students are. I still don't get why they want to get rid of the Eyes, and I think they need to give a little on some of their demands, however they have a right to make these demands and follow through with them if they want. The University has the right to say no. This is the thing about choices.

Texags had Ibraheem penciled in to its class several months ago. Ibraheem, Conner, Harris, Sanders, Davis, Thomas, and Milroe were all takes for aggy and they wanted them. Time to face the facts playblair, Herman is owning Jimbo this cycle and it's not even close. Why they will be taking a low 3* CB from Pennsylvania in a few weeks from losing on Ibraheem.

texas lost milroe & is about to lose ewers because of bad o line recruting Vito Corleone u were saying about how hand offering lowly ranked recruits wasnt worrying?

- Aggie Websider mods said something was up a few hours ago- Said QB recruit is pissed about the poor OL recruiting in the class
- There's 'friction' between the coaching staff and players or whatever
- He's Zoom-calling with the A&M coaches tonight
- It could "go down" as early as tomorrow

LMAO that fact you ran to post this after the aggy mods shot this down shows your slipping on the troll job. Just stop. And aggy knows all about piss poor OL recruiting right? You used to be good at this, at least bring halfway believable stuff to the troll table.

So is ScaredBlair now saying Texas will lose Ewers? Has he not seen our offense? Ewers is going to feast in this offense. We have a 3'star OT who is about to be a 1st round draft pick. I expect Texas to improve greatly in getting better offensive linemen. Especially if we have the season I expect us to have.

Also keep in mind, The great equalizer in offensive line development is getting them a Redshirt year. Nebraska in the 80's and 90's very seldom took highly regarded offensive linemen, but because of their S&C program and their redshirt program, they always had great linemen. I guarantee you there is almost zero difference between a low 4'star and a high 3'star. If you know what you are looking for, you can develop some damn good linemen without ever getting a 4'star or higher.
