Pop wouldn't bench Poeltl and give his minutes to Gasol, right?

Right?

Shakril
12-28-2018, 08:54 PM
Of course he will. Otherwise poeltl would have already cut into LMA's minutes.

Expect the turd towers in the starting lineup.

He should take Cunningham’s mimutes tbh.

SAGirl

Well Cunningham was already out of the rotation. He should be traded tbh.

Start Gasol next to Aldridge. Bring Rudy off the Bench at the 4 no later than the 6 minute mark unless Pau is having a throwback game. The minutes that should be cut because of Pau's return should be split between Marco and Patty depending on the matchups.

Bench

White
Patty/Marco
Bertans
Gay
Poeltl

He won’t be back next year. Final year with the Spurs.

Wish in one hand. Shit in the other.

His contract is fucking corporate gold next year.

Instead of Poeltl's improvement making Pau expendable, perhaps it will just make Pop play big more. If the team is going to take so few threes anyway why not make up for it in the paint?

Forbes, DDR, Gay, LMA, Gasol
Mills, White, Beli, Bertans, Poeltl

That would be the most logical lineup imo

Why waive him when they could use his contract to make a trade?

Could help with reboundin!

More 2s and worse defense. Cool!

But not with anything else, unfortunately.

tbf IIRC Gasol was actually playing well before the injury

LA/Gasol is actually a pretty effective front line. They won us some games last year. I prefer going small, but going big gives us an advantage in certain match ups

:lmao Gasol OTOH.

Gasol was actually playing really well before getting injured, but he just doesn't have a role with Poeltl playing so well. I don't know what Pop will do with him.

Took advantage of Timmy until the wheels fell off, but then gave Gasol a fat contract simply for playing around 60 games and waiting a few weeks for his next deal. Sad.

Trade him for a defender that is also a playmaker like bazemore

And hasn’t played two games in a row.... potential trade request?

been saying this for weeks. Bazemore would fit in well with the starters

Anything going on with Pau?. The rumors about the Spurs alleged interest in Vucevic have reminded me that Pau's 16 million are doing nothing for the team. The team needs to move him if he's not getting back into the rotation at this point.

Fusternino
01-03-2019, 04:17 PM
I think he will become match-up dependent the same way Dante has. Or he will only play as the sole big or with LMA at the 4 but never with Poeltl or Bertans.

Duncan87
01-03-2019, 04:19 PM
Mentioned in other thread maybe just flip pau for batum other pieces to make deal work since word is Hornets desperate to offload his contract

Ed Helicopter Jones
01-03-2019, 04:19 PM
I would not be opposed to moving Pau. He's actually a tradable asset so why not use him to get some help where the team actually needs it. His biggest net positive would be on the trading block.
