Danny Green... smdh... what’s next? Bonner or J Simmons jersey retirement?

I get that Danny was beloved and a big personality in the local nightclub community, but this isn’t serious. It’s actually a disservice to the HoF franchise players that truly made history with the franchise.

Come on now, Danny Green was part of the Spurs winning those championships with his defense and three point shooting! He did not want to leave SA and considers SA home! He deserved that tribute!

Classy move by the Spurs. Even numbskull Barkley acknowledged that.

Lol it’s for both Danny and Nephew. Members of the almost back-to-back championship squad. Also, Bonner had a tribute when they put his jersey on the rafters

Danny deserved the tribute, but his shot was going last couple of years, and it looks like it’s totally gone now.

Im fine with Icy-Hot getting a tribute video. Not like he had his jersey lifted into the rafters.

He's shooting well this year. This was an awful showcase for Danny, but the dude's been a major impact player for Toronto this season.

No issue with this for Danny Green. It was part of the price of moving Kawai to Toronto, part of the $$ finagling.

It was aimed at Kawhi but they couldn't leave Danny out. They wanted to take the moral high ground after Pop opening his mouth about leadership and possibly poisoned the well for future talent to look at SA.

The most overrated player in franchise history, tbh. Only Splitter comes close. His defense wasn't elite like many for some reason think. He's too slow to defend point guards and often forgets about his guy leading to an open three (as evident last night). Cute little fast break blocker though.

As for his 3pt shooting, like always he started off well and it's going to the shitter as the season goes by.

October - 22/47 (46.8%)
November - 36/87 (41.4%)
December - 24/65 (36.9%)
January - 0/8 (0.0%)

Last year from October to December he shot 39% from 3, from January to April he shot 34.1%. In the playoffs he shot 5/20 from deep. Just an all around lazy player. Thank god I no longer have to watch him.

I always laugh at that. Don't players pay state taxes in every state they play in so that at least half of their games are indeed taxed?

Technically no longer a contract year so..

Danny is a cool dude but as a basketball player him not able to dribble the ball would drive me freaking crazy. Other then that he was a good team mate and a good soldier I wish him the best.

after watching the interaction and looks he and Rudy Gay echanged in the podcast

A. He comming back. Spurs his first choice
B. They both wanted to could but didn't spill the entire beans on the Kawhi Situation.

Try a gun in the mouth next time. Call Owen Wilson and share the tip.

It's less than half. They play 45 games in Texas, two games in TN and FL. That's a fair bit cheaper than a team in the East that may only get a break in six games in a season.

for whatever it's worth he seems to not be able to hit 3s in San Antonio. That makes it tough if you have 41 home games. He could come back, but at this point I think Derrick White is the better defender and player
