Else kinda feel a little bit of relief, closure/exhale now that the game has passed and we beat him soundly and he didn’t look otherworldly out there? Not that I’ve forgotten and forgiven, I’m just more over it now than I was before if that makes any sense.

That’s fine if they do. It doesn’t matter. Even if he does his thing against us it still doesn’t take away from this one. I don’t care about that dude anymore.

Cathartic yes. Pretty much over Leonard. He’s moved on, I’ve moved on. Better, more pleasant things to focus on like the blossoming of White and Forbes, anticipation of what Walker might bring, expectations of seeing Murray and White maul froncourts next year. Derozan may be a lesser talent than Leonard but he’s a far better fit team camaraderie-wise. Who knows, maybe in three years, when Spurs are trying to hold on to all the young ones, we’ll be happy we’re not straddled with Leonard’s bloated contract.

At this point I'm very happy with the complete offensive game and not a bad defensive game (within the team defensive scheme) DD has given us. And Jakob Poeltl has shown nice potential.

Yes of course. Game worked out perfectly! Glad Kawhi wasn't a God and nice to see him not killing it like his 45 point game.

We need to win there too.
And I'll be fine.
Anyways the thing that I am most grateful is that the team seems like they are a family again, which was a bit lost without Manu. And now they have added good level of play to it.
Fuck Leonard.

Yes, the game was cathartic. But like has been mentioned, the Spurs playing like a team and seemingly a functional family is the number 1 priority. They look good. There is life and a real chip chance after Kawhi. In some universe somewhere, the Spurs beat the Raptors in the finals this year. Maybe we are blessed to reside in that one.

If he does have degenerative tendenopathy Number 2 might not have too many more years. By the end of his next contract he could end up like Luol Deng.

Does anyone think the crowd got into Kawhi's head? He sister said it didn't bother him but he looked a little uncomfortable out there.

Yeah, i feel more relaxed about the whole thing now.

It played out perfectly, I don't even care what happens when we go to Toronto in regards to this drama.

I must say, glad we won't be facing him in any playoffs though.

He's copped it, i love DeMar, time to move on.

DWhite had a bit to do with that also. Studly defense.

I think the defensive scheme got into Kawhi more than the crowd, imho.

The person I'm happiest for is DeMar. While almost everyone else gave the standard "it's just another game" line, he admitted it was a big deal to him and then went out there and absolutely killed it, putting up his first career triple-double while leading the team in assists and rebounds, and scoring efficiently. Even though he's already a 10 year veteran and an all star, DeMar has shown this year that he can still expand his game to be a better distributor and a more attentive defender, and it really makes me admire the guy because he has been honest the whole time about how the trade hurt his feelings and made him feel betrayed, but he still approached the situation as the ultimate professional. It's easy to root for a guy with that much character, and to be happy that he's on your favorite team.

We have proved we can survive without him. Time to let it go and move on.

I didn't even feel the need to boo for one game. The Spurs beating him and making him look pedestrian was gravy. What truly makes me feel good is the team playing so well. Wouldn't matter if it was the Raptors or no.
