White top scorer of the game, a couple of weeks back who would had believed it. He did it only missing one shot and it's the second night he did it in a row.
I would have. I've believed in that cat since the offseason (really since his G-League season last year) and I have the posts to prove it.

Maybe he’s not 100% yet..he should take Poeltl’s minutes
Why should he take Poeltl minutes? I’m confused

This game I was worried spurs were going to have a let down game after that emotional win but they came through! This team is rollin!

In the few minutes Pondexter played against the Raptors, he looked like he had never played basketball before. Today he looked even worse.

Man Pau is officially out of the rotation I’m surprised Pop hasn’t tried to play him. Didn’t even get garbage minutes tonight. He for sure needs to be moved can’t be giving him this money while he’s riding the bench.
Actually really impressed with Pop; not trying to shoehorn him back into the rotation. Poeltl is the better option and he isn't trying to placate Gasol :tu :tu

:lol He really does, it makes absolutely no sense why he is on this team. I would be fine in getting ANYONE from the gleague and have them on the team instead of him. Spurs have to cut him by Monday or his contract is guaranteed.

I completely agree I thought for sure he was going to try to get him into the rotation. At this point in Paus career Poeltl is light years better than him.

White was definitely the player of the game tbh; shocking how much he has improved over the last 10 games or so.
The game overall was brutal to watch. Sloppy as hell.

Bryn Forbes has 86 three-pointers this season, second-most through 40 games in franchise history.
Only Spur to hit more in the first 40 games of a season -> Danny Green’s 95 in 2014-15 the year he set the franchise record

Spurs now have 70 wins against the Grizzlies since Memphis entered the NBA in 1995.
San Antonio is the only team in the league with 70+ wins against any team since 1995.

I'm confident the Spurs will move Pau by the deadline, which is obviously great news tbh. Hoping LMA/Jakob stay healthy over the next month or so.

I don't think Pop would play him only in garbage time, it would be considered disrespectful and beneath a player of Pau's stature

Don't be so sure. His contract will be a bitch to move.

Good teams do it on the road, with the next 3/4 away, next week will be a good test. They need to win at least 2/3.

It'll happen barring injury. There's no way Pau will be happy with b2b DNPs when he's supposedly healthy. He'll ask for a trade if he hasn't already and Pop will accommodate.

How would his contract be hard to move? Its only $6.8 million due next season and that can be stretched down to $2.3 million. Not really an albatross.

His partial guaranteed contract is a lot more valuable than his actual play on the court. He's very attractive for a team looking to dump salary so I don't even think the Spurs will need to attach a 1st to move him.
The tricky part is finding a trade partner that he'll be happy with because I'm sure Pop/RC will go out of their way to make sure hes happy too.

Memphis would be ideal if they give up, tbh.

Walker was just injured, so that’s taken into consideration imo. I would’ love to see him play, but somebody said he beasted 34 points this afternoon and that’s gonna help his confidence and rhythm back than garbage time tbh

I wonder if it might turn into a Mike Finley situation; aging vet unhappy with his role and asked to be released (or brought out in this case) so he can go elsewhere. I actually still think Gasol can still play but he's unnecessary if Aldridge and Poeltl stay healthy, Spurs should only be playing two traditional bigs anyway.

The DNP for Pau is a curious thing.
I don't think he's even healthy. Why have Eubanks in the roster instead of Walker or Metu?
Spurs are doing very well with Poetl and its a tough call to mess that up just to give Pau minutes. At best, it would make sense to pair Pau with either of the two centers. So, Pau instead of Cunningham in the 2nd unit. Come to think of it, don't Cunningham and Pau play a similar game? Stand around in the 3 point line in offense and pack the paint in defense?

I firmly believe the Spurs will waive and stretch Gasol’s contract next year. Not sure people realize this may be Gasol’s last year in the NBA. Guy is engaged and probably moving on with his life. I could see him playing one final year in Memphis with his brother.

Definitely feels like this team is back. Win by 20 but still not satisfied due to the late push and the mid-3 having pedestrian scoring numbers.
