Great signing by PATFO to bring him back.

Funny how you waited until he hit 3 straight 3s to say that.

He's clearly been a positive player for us this year. But that signing was widely derided on this board, per par.

We won't win the ship, but Playoff Beli will be entertaining nonetheless

No, it's still an awful deal. Spurs were one of a couple playoff teams to have full access to the nearly $9 million per season MLE and only came away with Belinelli and a 2nd rounder who they locked up for 3 seasons instead of two.

Him improving to the mean is obviously useful on the court but it doesn't excuse the silliness of the contract. What happens if LWIV works his way into the rotation next season? Then we' be paying $6+ million to a 33 year old guard to sit on the bench.

His value is teach the other players how to move without the ball.

Patty wasn't going to get benched. If DJ was playing Forbes or White would've been on the bench a good amount. Belli is doing well but we have too many guards. Gotta fit Lonnie in soon too. Ik afraid Popovich will designate Demar as our pf luke he did last night so he can play his small ball game.

Proved to be valuable. At the beginning of the season, I really questioned the transaction

:lol funny how everybody’s castigating Belli for his shot selection and weird scissor kick shots earlier in the season when Spurs was playing terrible, including myself. The header should say, “apologies to Belli.”. He’s the new Ginobili, however sacrilegious that was. Moments like, “No, no... yes! Great shot” were but relegated to Manu and we loved him for it. Belli has the same iced vein, willing to make that gamble, because golds are for the risk takers. I also love his constant moving without the ball, slashing and just getting his defender on his toes. Spurs culture and big part of the beautiful game 2.

He's been on fire lately, but don't really trust him yet.

Beli took over Manu's role perfectly. And a 2 year deal for 6 million is a good deal, I don't get how you can complain about that. Great signing, great fit. Him and Bertans are unguardable knock down 3-point shooters. You can't defend those 2 and that's always a plus
