I would be curious to see where Parker in his heyday would have fallen on that table. I remember that it was often said that he and Iverson were two of the fastest end to end circa mid 2000s.

Totally useless stat. Harden and Westbrook among the slowest. Doesn't seem to hold them back.

With the ball, absolutely. I think "prime" Patty is actually faster without the ball than even prime Parker, but it's not nearly as useful of a skill.

These stats seem coerced, tbh.

Seems like BS, Pau Gassed faster than Aldridge and Gay on offense, he has no offense.

How they get this info? They got tracking chips on all the players? How do they know when the player is even trying to go full speed?

Considering this stat is just taking feet covered by the player divided by time on the floor on offense and defense to determine MPH, it’s not a measure of the player’s speed at all. It’s really a meaningless stat and I’m confused about what benefit it provides at all beyond maybe showing how active guys are who sub out for each other, and even that is a stretch. Because depending on who you cover on D, your position, your style of play, the other team’s style of play, etc., etc., etc., these numbers can vary dramatically. It’s different than just lining guys up for a foot race to measure speed.

Dumb stat.
