Has anyone had a jersey framed here, Austin, Dallas, or Houston? I have one that I'd like to have framed so that it can hang from either side. I'd also like for it to be nicely matted. Nothing cheesy. I've seen a couple of places that say they do it, but am hoping for some personal recommendations and/or places to steer clear of.

yeah which Jersey you want to frame?

I have bought frames from NFLShop.com I dunno if they still sell them on there, but i got a few a couple of years ago to frame a Autographed Joe Namath jersey and a Don Maynard NY Titans jersey.
they weren't that expensive glass case frames you just put your jersey in there lock it and hang wherever you want.

It's a throwback Steelers jersey, Terry Bradshaw. The SuperBowl patch and sig are on the front, and his name is on the back (well, okay duh), so I need to be able to switch the frame from front to back.

Thanks. Do you happen to have pics of your frames? If it's what I had in mind maybe I can do a search by brand. I just checked and can't find them there. I saw some at a memorabilia place in Dallas years ago (long before I had the need of course) and they were great quality frames with personalized mats. Unfortunately they weren't 2-sided. And, I don't remember where it was. Was a pretty cool trip though, on the way out of the store about half a dozen guys that towered over John (he's 6'5") passed us on their way in. It was only the Clippers, but was still neat.

No, it was a special patch with all 4 (?) superbowls listed. It was my first e-bay purchase and I was less than computer literate at the time so it was quite the hassel. Well worth it though, he was thrilled.

The New York Titans was the name the current NEW YORK JETS had in the old American Football League (AFL) when the league was formed back in 1960

but they changed the name to "Jets" later on in the 60's ...its too bad because they had a nice color scheme going with the TITANS back in the day

I've heard about that AFL league stuff. They had something about it on ESPN Classics a few weeks ago.

Terry Bradshaw....pretty coolThanks, can't take any credit though, I'm a SKINS fan. I was merely the finder and purchaser of said item because I rock :lol So, any ideas?

Lucky man! John has a small collection but I don't think anybody is going to be breaking in our home trying to make off with his Mavericks signed ball, circa some year they did squat prior to '93. And who's bright idea was it to have them sign a navy blue portion of the ball? Can't even begin to read those sigs.

Do you talk to your uncle often? If so, do you mind asking him where he gets his jersey's framed?

Some of them will sign autographs if you get there WAY before the game starts. You have to be in the lower bowl though, they generally won't let you down there without a ticket. I've also heard that they're more likely to sign if you find them at the away games. Road trip to Dallas or Houston in your future? :)

I wouldn't use a frame, since you want folks to see the front and the back ? I would go with a clear acrylic case that you can hang using a wire or hook, that way it can spin around to show both sides. back in my collecting days I had a few hanging in my room. They also keep your jersey free of unwanted wrinkles and creases.

Thanks for replying :) What size is that box? I only see black, not the clear acrylic box. Does it have something to hold the sleeves in place? It's a football jersey so I wouldn't want them just hanging there. Where did you get that, or do you know the brand so I can go search for it? Thanks!

it's 3 ft wide and 4 ft long

look close. it has a black back ground,

Does it have something to hold the sleeves in place?

It only has a long rod, you can get a solid plastic frame in the shape of tee shirt from the malls, they use them to display their sweaters , try Elan Brayant, sometimes you can sweet talk a chubby sales girl in giving you one, it worked for me at the cross roads mall back in 93

It's a football jersey so I wouldn't want them just hanging there.

then stick with the frame with a glass back. start calling the sports shops around town, you might get one of the workers to tell you where they get theirs,

Where did you get that,

I got mine at all American sports at the eisenhower flea market.
It was a sweet David Robinson game worn jersey black with auto and Bible verse acts 13. verse ? I am not sure, it was long ago, the man had a Kobe Bryant also, At the time I was a Spurs fan , so a laker jersey in my room was out of the question. Now I wished I had bought the Kobe

or do you know the brand so I can go search for it? Thanks!
do a google search on acrylic jersey case

That's a good idea, I hadn't thought of it.

I've looked some up online, I was just hoping for personal recommendations. Some framers suck, but I have no way of knowing that just by talking to them ya know? DOH. Sports shops, not frame shops. Gotcha.

Oh, admit it, you still are a fan :p

Thanks!
