But neither are the Astros. If they had won, few outside of Texas would have cared, and folks in the Metroplex would have smiled for a day or two, before forgetting all about out and refocusing on the Cowboys.

The only teams with a big nationwide following are the Yankees, Red Sox, Cubs, and Dodgers. Maybe you could add the Braves to that list. Since the strike of '94, people have watched the World Series when one of those teams was in it, and ignored the Series when they've been absent.

For T Park: The Cardinals have a significant regional following, but if you added up all those fans spread out over the Great Plains, it's probably still less than one New York borough.

Hey I have been there. I struggled in my 20's like a lot do. Some people helped me out but a lot didn't. I had to work my ass off to pay people back and get myself on my feet. I made a lot of mistakes and had some bad judgement and it still affects me today. Those that helped me though, I made sure I took care of them first and foremost, sacrificing my comfort first. Duff got handed almost $1000 from a stranger and he just thinks nothing of ripping him off. Its a lack of respect that some (not all thankfully) people his age have toward obligations and others. Personally I think Jim should have whipped his ass by now.
