Wizards will pay Wall about $40 mil next year to sit, and then $40 mil the next to make his comeback from one of the worst injuries a quick guard can suffer. Maybe this means they trade anyone for future picks?

He was already finished as a relevant player, anyways..
What a disaster of a franchise, though, might be in the worst situation in the league right now..

This.
Perfect example of a team paying max and supermax to guys not worth it and how it screws your franchise.
Even wall walking for nothing would be better than where they are now.
5 years from now they will have a great expiring though ...

these max super max contracts is going to destroy teams if that said player gets a seasonal injury early in the contract where it might take 1-2+ yrs to fully recover

Instead of old man yelling at cloud saying "These young players just aren't made like the ones in my day! Why Larry Bird used to...."
Could it be that widespread use of PEDs is causing the muscles to be much larger then normal and putting pressure on the attaching tendons etc? Virtually 90% of the NBA is pumped up. Even if they aren't ripped looking, even little twinkys like Curry are much bigger then normal. I attribute that in part to supplementing.

Wiz need to declare it a career ending injury. That way insurance will cover most of it.

LeBron, Karl Malone and Jordan were 3 of the most egregious PED users, yet none of them ever suffered a serious injury..it's all luck and genes, tbh..
