He only has 6 attempts so far so might not hear that tonight :lol
He can still shoot more to beat Derozan’s 16 attempts in this game
He is that arrogant to do that, tbh. Only Trump has more arrogance over actual skills than him.

Every shot of avery Bradley's has been open. Spurs cannot adjust.
Derrick white really is the savior on both ends. Spurs defensive stopper plus get the ball out of Demar hands.

Forbes is a role player.
Forbes can't create his own shot with high FG%.
If Forbes takes 4 shots in 4 possessions off the dribble with Gay and DeRozan in game that's as much on Pop as much as it is on Forbes.
It's on Forbes for erroneously thinking he's a star but it's also on Pop ever since he mind-bogglingly compared him to Curry.

1) DeMar is one of the worst mid-range shooters in the NBA. Even misses a lot when wide open.
2) DeMar is unclutch as hell.
What we always do in clutch: Give ball to DeMar and let him shoot contested mid range.
Result: DeRozan misses/airballs.

Yes, DeRozan at least makes the effort to get others involved. He at least has the physical skills to warrant taking a high okume of shots over that little engine that can't.

Lost in all the complaining about how bad a win that was - I agree it was tough seeing them struggle to beat a shit (and tanking) Grizzlies team - was Rudy's stout defense at the end. On two consecutive defensive positions he defended Jonas and Triple J extremely well.
The team needs to pull the trigger and dump Pondexter (way overdue) to bring in Huestis. They have a lot of "offensive minded" players but absolutely no one (minus White) that can consistently defend.
Anyway, I hope the players rest up and are ready for the last stretch of the season after the all-star break. They are gonna have bring a better, more focused effort otherwise it'll be a repeat of last year (swept in 1st round).

Not sure, tbh. He's looked less explosive, a step slower and a lot less sure of himself on offense. Ever since the "revenge game" against Toronto he's been mediocre or worse.
It could be fatigue or injury related, but the team needs him to get back to his all-star form. He's become a "net negative" player (ala Tony in his bad years) since he's primarily an offensive minded player.
Demar and Derrick need the break more than anyone else, right now.

Derozan isn't going to want to miss that game.
He'll spend the whole 4th quarter taking in the sympathy cheers from the fans while sitting on the bench instead of watching LDN swatting away the hot garbage shots taken by Forbes. He could also strike up a conversation with a fan so he can ignore Pop making jokes about not buying anyone out to improve the team.

scary thought. like others posted, the coach going to have to lay down some cold hard truth and get on the same page as Demar.
Pop has to consider his mental state and keep in mind Raptors are next game up so im not sure how he going handle it. Spurs cant win tbh, they are invested in Depression.

I really am more and more confused as to what sa did this trade deadline. Is them not making a move basically them saying they know they made a mistake with DeRozan and that they are so far away from being a WCF team that they could not justify giving up youth/picks to make the team better short term?
Do they think Murray/White solve all the issues and will bank on that?
This was a terrible half all things considered, but just find a way to win and all will be forgotten.
nor close, I will be here criticizing the wrong decisions of the front office at every opportunity

Marc Gasol gone to Toronto (might get a ring this season) and Mike Conley out and we barely win? Really getting pathetic. This team just isn't showing much heart, if any. Something just isn't right with this team. I'm still pulling for DD but, there is obviously something wrong. Sometimes it really does look like this team is tuning Pop out.

You guys have to factor in that Memphis has a lot of new guys with something to prove there obviously gonna play harder then usual .
You guys have to factor in that Memphis has a lot of new guys with something to prove there obviously gonna play harder then usual .
All those new guys with something to prove are good enough for a 23-35 record. There is no excuse to lose to a team like that if you want to pretend like you are playoff worthy.
