And where is the Peterson Institute now?

Simpson-Bowles?

Where are the Repug outrages about out-of-control spending?

about the requirement of a balanced budget be Constitutionally required?

about the need to run USA like household?

why aren't the Repugs "thinking about the grandchildren?"

The Repugs will blame $22T on the Dems, and motherfuckingly ignorant Repug base will believe them.

What's the big deal? Your "breath of fresh air" is fine with deficit spending.

It only matters when it can be used as a club to cow Democrats in power.

When Republicans are in power, it axiomatically doesn't matter.

Giveaways to rich are always good at any cost in red state america. LMAO at Grover Norquist and his pledge to never raises taxes supporting the Trump tax plan that raised taxes on many people in blue states.

Sure looks like Democrats are using that club in the press and in this thread. Both parties suck and know we will never have a balanced budget. It's the big lie that debt will never matter.

We had a balanced budget less than 20 years ago.

We had a balanced budget less than 20 years ago.

You'll know better than me being a economics whiz, but I've read many articles from economists that people overrate the importance/potential negative ramifications of running a deficit. People mistakenly equate the US debt situation to that of credit card debt, when it doesn't work like that.

Here's a couple:

:lol

And Democrats fucking hated Newt Gingrich for it. That and Bush's "read my lips" tax increase.

Do they not teach history in schools anymore?

Of course, it was the Repugs who wrote and passed oligarchy's the tax, Trash who signed it, resulting in the huge loss in govt revenue and booming deficit.

your false equivalence is as fucking stupid as your need for a balanced budget

Within 10 years debt service will be greater than the military budget even without the Green Dream. You really think interest rates wont rise?

CosmicCowboy
02-13-2019, 04:37 PM
Fracking a d cheap shit from Asia has kept the calculated inflation low for two decades. How long do you think that will last?

CosmicCowboy
02-13-2019, 04:40 PM
20 years ago $150 would have taken two grocery carts at HEB. Now it barely covers the bottom of one.

:lol From historic, zero bound levels where they've been for ten years?

If the next bust doesn't come quickly, that's the easiest call ever.

If the next bust does come quickly we may join much of the Eurozone in negative interest rates for treasury bonds.

(My hunch is the next big correction is 1-3 years off.)

Congratulations. National Debt passed 30 trillion today. Inflation is suddenly a serious concern and predicted 100 basic point interest rate increases are coming this year. Whineholes prognostication didn't age well.
