I probably wouldn't have watched this but I saw that Jordan Peele was the director. Turns out he was the produce, not director.
In any event, it's well made. But just not that interesting to me. At least they got it done in 4 episodes.

6/10

We tried getting into this over the weekend. It went flat after maybe 30 minutes and we thought a 4 episode serious about a scorned broad cutting her man's dick off was just too drawn out and quit mid first episode. Worst Netflix product since the Will Smith movie.

I hated the Will Smith movie less than Birdbox. But yeah, they could have done this in about an hour and a half. There were some interesting items later about John's life and what a total asshole nut he was. Also, the interviews with the prosecutor who failed to convict John and later Lorena. When the doc implyied that maybe they didn't do their best to convict Lorena, he kind of smirked and sidestepped the question. Seems like they knew John deserved it and didn't go all in to put Lorena away.

She cut his dick off and threw it out the window of the car. They were able to find it and reattach it. And then he made a porno movie and then had failed dick enlargement surgery. It’s a pretty off the rails story.

What always really puzzles me is, how back in 1994 they were able to not only save the bled-out and dying vestige of the penis, but actually reattach it to the gaping open wound at the bottom of the shaft and make it work like it used to? It seems like magic out of a fairy tale or Harry Potter honestly.

I don’t know that the reattachment itself is puzzling. She made an incredibly clean cut. But what’s more unbelievable is them talking to her after some time and her kind of remembering where she threw it (in a field) and them going back and finding it and bringing to the doctor in time to put it back on. I’m shocked a detached penis can remain viable for so long. And that some dog or bird didn’t find it first. Or even that the police made such an effort to look for it. If I were the commander, I probably would have just said fuck it, there’s no way.

Detached, bleeding out, cells dying rapidly without new blood and oxygen. Also, him bleeding from the other end and the doctors not rushing him to the hospital to cauterize the wound, which would have effectively ended any chance at reattachment.

This is the main thing that makes it a bizarre miracle for the guy.

Plus the doctor saying it’s the first time he had to reattach a weenie.

I'm just finding it hard to envision that all the nerves would go back to functioning properly and exactly as if nothing happened. Also, the veins and arteries and proper blood flow.

I’m not sure it went back to perfectly normal. I don’t remember them addressing that specifically.

Yeah. But it seems like getting it connected for blood flow would be different from having the nerves perfectly in tact. We don’t even know if he could ejaculate. And I don’t care to look for the video.

Fuck that, if I couldn't orgasm normally and cum I'd rather have them embalm the penis so I can save it as a trophy and for them to just make a little convenient hole to pee out of.

She turned on the switch and mutilated the penis. So it became ground meat per se. He survived but there's no info on what he was left with.

From his comments, it doesn’t sound like it went well.
