these days it's have children from multiple dudes, have a faggot brother with a gay husband and gay adopted kids, and a creepy old uncle with a flamboyant Colombian wife who's half his age but already had a dopey son with another man.

There is nobody to protect anymore. So why try?
I do think most would be shocked that this got out in the 30's, I;m guessing it slide by because it was just jiggaboo music for other jiggaboos so who cared.

This show only got green lighted at the time because Fox was desperate for the attention they knew this anti-pc show would bring.
Aside from the cheesy live studio audience, i don't see any reason why they wouldn't green light a reboot today.

There's a skit show from some years back (sometime in the 2000's probably) that got pulled cos it was too honest. I can't remember the name unfortunately.

I takes far less actual talent today in everything.
32 NFL teams vs 14, so we see TONS of guys playing the game who wouldn't be in a 14 team league.
All these shitty rappers/hip hoppers who wouldn't maker a zit on the ass of The Platters, The Coasters, The Drifters, etc etc.
Stupid TV shows.
We've lowered our standards in everything now. Hell. look at what we have as our President, that says it all.

That's just crazy, no way that would fly on the radio back then. Never heard anything like that from something in the first half of the 1900s

Back then they had race records, yep, blacks with a black audience. There had to be somebody not doing their job, had to be.....just shit music, who cares.
While there are tons of stuff like...the lead in my pencil won't write any mo...and....I need somebody to come get this black snake.....there is nothing that just lays it out there like Shave Um Dry, yep...unique. There is a clean version of the song also.

One of my fav lines in bluesdom.
Ruby Glaze telling Blind Willie McTell in a duet
roll me over on my belly baby, beat me with your chocolate tongue,

Cool stuff, Avante. I'm still amazed that you got music from the 30s that even people today might think is a little too sexual :lol

indeed. my office addiction looped once again last night back to season 1 and that season alone wouldn't have made it in today's day from the episode 1 on. michael has a cringy hitler impression 3 episodes in i believe and that episode alone wouldn't got the show pulled by today's lame PC standards.
