Spurs won this game because of Duncan. And he played against the 05 Pistons not the 2010 Celtics. Dumbasses all over this forum tbh

Duncan cost USA a gold medal, Tbh. That's all that we need to know when comparing TO Kobe and his 2 gold + 1 Oscar

Perfect sense to use Olympics and oscars (one a team accomplishment the other a ghost writing exercise) when comparing accomplishments on an nba forum.

No idiocy whatsoever.

Kobe is barely top 20 and a rapist, Duncan is auto top 10 and not a rapist.

Finals 2005 was during the most grueling defensive era in NBA history against the second best defensive team in NBA history. (The best was the San Antonio Spurs.)

Agreed and it also lead the NBA to changing the defensive rules further.

Pistons were better defensively. Not by a big margin.

Finally the Spurs and Lakers can agree on one thing... Manu > Kirby, tbh.

Last I checked 37% shooting is better than 24%. What are we arguing about again? :wtf

not only that, but Duncan brought the Spurs back from down 9 points in the third quarter when it looked like the Pistons were going to run away with the game and the championship... Spurs were in dire straights and Timmy reeled off like 11 points in a short window there to get us back ahead in that critical juncture.

Manu was the star in '05, but let's not take anything away from TD.

Fuck you. He was up against a 4-time DPOY and the best defensive squad of all time on a bad ankle.

And he still won the ring and FMVP. Go fuck yourself.
