3- against lakers and lebron

What an unsustainable way to win though. Give up easy layups and open threes on one end, take tough iso long 2s on the other. Kobe DeRozan is hard to root for sometimes, even when he's on.

Warriors consistently “play bad” vs. the Spurs. No coincidence at all they struggle against our guys. This game is coincidence if the Spurs get railed every other time these two meet but credit our guys for always playing tough.

This is not the same team that lost all those road games. White has just grown into a beast over the season - and he was out for a lot of games. DeMar is playing respectable D. And Poeltl is a huge improvement over Pau.

Really poor rotation by Pop in the 4th. When he took out Rudy and put in DeMar was a mistake imo. DD was the only shot creator on the floor. Should have put DD in with Rudy. Waited too long to put White in as well, but hey, it worked out.
That win was sheer will. Best game by DD since the Toronto game...actually better. Klay was helpless against him tonight.
LaMarcus doing what he does. Efficient as usual, and played physical.

Totally agree and I think Demar has finally realized that he can be a really good defensive player and he is working his tail off to do it. He has all the tools and he’s finally starting to use them, it’s elevated this team tremendously

It could happen because of the win streak and spurs playing down to their opponents after beating the champs. Plus Miami has an athletic team and spurs struggle with those.
But I’ll say on the other side of the argument, that the Spurs are peaking and may take this game as seriously as the others.

Yes that was impressive. Rhey were manning up and roughing up . He didn't cough it up and kept his dribble. Most of the offense ran through him to close. Demar was on the receiving end on somr of those plays to finish. Rather that than Demar initiating under pressure.

That's before the game.He thought he was gonna win.
If they go and ask him now he'll say that the refs had it out for him and got 5 fouls on him with no reason at all.

They did miss a solid amount of wide open shots. That’s not to discredit the solid defense tonight. It’s just to point out the defense could and hopefully will get better. Our guys still played hard and secured the victory
They also made a solid amount of tough shots. And the Spurs missed open shots too. It all evens out.
Klay is such a classless prick. I never hear this guy give any credit to anyone. Yes, they missed a ton in the first half but the Spurs deserve some credit in the 4th.

One hell of a game. Felt like the playoffs last night. The 2014 playoffs that is. Hope we can keep it up the last 11 games and go into the playoffs on a high note. I am not worried about Derrick White lacking playoff experience. He looks very confident out there on the floor. If we had had a normal Rodeo Road Trip we'd be right there with Denver and GS.

i just realize that we lost to the warriors in last year's playoffs without curry playing...:lmao
last year's team sucks..why did they struggle to beat a less curry warrior's team?

Once it was clear Nephew was lying and quitting on the team, everything fell apart.

Great, unexpected win!
I'd say now their ceiling is 48 wins. Hope hey don't make up for this one by losing to a tanking team full of random chuckers.

I truly believe at this point that as long as we are healthy with this team we saw last night, we will win AT LEAST 48 games.

Offensively, we were pretty bad last year. They actually had a chance to win 2 other games in GS.

we don't need recognition from klay or anybody. spurs just keep doing what they do and some teams may be in for a surprise.

Well, considering that they haven’t lost a game in March with wins over the Thunder, Nuggets, Bucks, Blazers and Warriors, the answer is pretty much everything. The Spurs scored efficiently in each one of those wins and outside of Milwaukee held all those teams below their usual offensive rating. They’ve won slow games and fast games. They’ve won games shooting well from the perimeter and poorly, though they’ve always shot well from two-point range. And in just about every game outside of one they’ve kept their turnovers down. Essentially, in what has been something off an odd season by San Antonio’s standards, they’ve been playing San Antonio basketball.

I don't know what happened after the Rodeo Road Trip with the coaching staff and the players but I like shift in gears on the court an the adjustments we the fans have been wanting more of.
If they can just ride this momentum all the way through the playoffs.

White came back.
This 100%
Teams feeds off his defense. And he runs the offense better. His play has become contagious. Even DDR is 'D'ing up.
White came back after the All-Star game, was able to play 2 of 3 remaning of RRT.
Toronto - should've won. But competed well.
Nets - Hanged on until halftime then things fell apart. I will chalk this one to we lost because PAU was still on the roster haha
In comparison to the other 6 games of the RRT, which were pretty abysmal. Even the game we won against the Grizzlies, it was like which team wants to lose more.
Coming back home has obviously helped a lot. The mini 3 game trip we have will say a lot about how this team can fare in the playoffs. Now that we are fully healthy and playing well.
