With recent events, when/if a new stadium is built, what becomes of the Alamodome?

Do you keep it up for conventions and what nots or do you raze it?

The thing is, if/when a new stadium is built, is it indoor or open?

Does the NCAA give SA more finals fours after 2007? If so, do they play in the SBC Center?

actually I think somewhere a long time ago i read the SBC wasn't big enough I think for the NCAA to hold a Final in but good enough for a Regional game...i'd guess if there was no more alamodome then SA would lose the Final Four games..i'd imagine cost would determine that new stadium to be Open Air but then again if these boys have deep pockets and want to go fancy and put a roof on it i imagine with a roof they'd just move the Finals to that great facility instead.

Built a new stadium for who? The Saints? The same team that's only going to play here in SA for one year? And that's if the NFL decides that SA is good short term. No way!!!! If Benson wants a new stadium just to play for one year, then LA, hear they come!

Benson doesn't want his team in LA. He's said this many times. It's the NFL that would like the team there.

Last time I checked, Benson owned the team.

I say we build a 2 billion dollar super stadium to replace the Alamodome, SBC Center, Verizon.

It will have 3 levels, with the ability to have a Baseball game, Basketball game, and Football game playing all at the same time.

Oh wait, the city can't even afford a PGA village...nevermind.

Cue the broken record...

The city can't afford it.

Be happy with the Spurs.

Get on with Life.

Maybe in the year 2023.

See my thread on keeping the Alamodome.. we just change the sidelines of Plaze to ultra modern lux boxes and make outside like Uber tailgate with 40 foot long cast iron grills (bunches of them).

I have seen many things in the Alamodome.. 99 champ series... Jordan and 35000 people going nuts... Final Four. NBA all star with Jordan and Robinson..
NFL game now.....

I am attached to that building.. it's got some history already.. and it's sweet for football. Let's just fix her up...

Dude.. Memorial Day Miracle.. we should not tear that building down.. ever..

renovate the dome, dont tear it down for a new stadium the foundation is already set in the heart of SA.

Keep it for conventions and the what nots. The traffic problem there can't be fixed. Find a giant field off of IH 10 somewhere.

Although, the entire point is moot because we aren't going to get the team. Not unless New Orleans is never repaired AND Los Angeles gets knocked over by a 9.0 earthquake.

Well it needs to be downtown.. Cause anywhere else would suck...

Downtown used to be so fun after Spurs game... The concrete we poured into the alamodome is some of the best shit you can get. It would be a huge waste to tear it down.
