Not looking good for Tyreek Hill right now unless something has changed I'm not aware of, this really sucks, he is one of the most exciting players ever.

Having to dump Kareem Hunt totally sucked, and what he did really wasn't all that. She wouldn't back off.

I can't think of any franchise as snake bit as the Chiefs.

Olympic sprinter/200m WR Stone Johnson a 9.3 100 guy was a stud RB out of Grambling, in a preseason game in 61/62? he sustained and injury......died.

Mack "The Truck" Lee Hill a monstrous FB (never seen a more powerful back) who averaged over 5 yards a carry between the tackles, banged up a knee.....died on the operating table. Only two seasons, yet in their ring of honor, he made that kind of impact.

Ken Thomas (bro of Ram RB Jewerl) a 10.0ht sprinter was out of a SJS and was one the nations top DB's, why the chiefs switched him to RB...??? He banged up a knee, ended a career that never got started.

Joe Delaney ran on an NCAA winning 4x1 team while at NWLa (Mark Duper on the team) he was 9.4 cat and gained over 1000 yards rushing as a rookie. Before his second season he drowned trying to save some kids in a river, he couldn't swim.

The Derrick Thomas story, a sad one.

Huh?

They've never won ANY rings.
They've hosted Thanksgiving games for the past half century and have a well below .500 record on these... even though they're all at home.
They completely wasted the careers of 2 of the 5 most talented athletes in NFL history, then refused to trade them forcing them into early retirement.
They play in a shithole of a city and are generally forgotten considering the legacies of the teams that play in their division.
They're constantly mediocre to awful.
Even when it looks like they have a chance, they always engineer a new way to wrestle defeat from the jaws of victory.
They suck.

The end, that's it & that's all.

You're right ya don't know the history.

The Lions have won four NFL championships (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_NFL_champions), tied for 9th overall in total championships among all 32 NFL

Super Bowl rings, chump.

Everyone in Philly considers last year to be their elusive first ever. Nobody really truly considers championships of the prehistoric era.

Deion Sanders
Calvin Johnson
Bo Jackson
Barry Sanders
Jerry Rice

those are the 5 greatest athletes in NFL history I was talking about... BUT... you *could* go back farther and include guys like Dick Night Train Lane from the distant past, but those guys are mostly forgotten.

You said.....

You are so wrong it's comical, dude, history is HUGE in all sports, that's why so many books about that history are out there. How many times do we hear.....he just broke a record held by Jim Brown (some record some old timer). NFL History goes back to 1920 not 2000.

Jim Thorpe and Milt Campbell who both won the Olympic Decathlon and the title "Worlds Greatest Athlete" kick Johnson and Sanders out.

Jim Brown kicks Jerry Rice out.

Can debate Bo and Deion being in with Mel Renfro, Bob Hayes, Don Hutson, in the greatest NFL athletes debate.

Nick Chubb goes 92 yards, what are we told, yep.....a new franchise record.....why?

Had to be hard to be a Bills fan in the 90s, gotta say that much. That's a lot of player tragedy for Chiefs, though.

With all the talent the Bills had back then how they never won the biggie seems hard to do. Did come.............................................. ........................that close however.

You can't count eras in which blacks were suppressed to the point where they either were disallowed or discouraged to compete in such events.

Jim Thorpe, Don Hutson would look like average pro athletes if they existed today.

It's never ever about that, it's always about vs the era, ALWAYS. No footballer was ever considered to be on a par with Jim Thorpe when it comes to being an athlete. And Milt Campbell was a better athlete than Thorpe was.

N0......footballer ever dominated the game like Don Hutson did, and he played baseball and ran track.

And yet a guy like Bo Jackson or either Sanders or ... heck, even a regular NFL speedster of today would make honkeys like Hutson look silly.

Hutson ran a 9.7 100 yards in the 30's on dirt tracks, there is no doubt if he ran in the 80;s vs Jackson who ran a 9.5 on far superior surfaces he's beating Bo. And Sanders ran a 10.26 for 100m, that is a 9.3 for yards, it would be close vs Hutson.

Honkey Cy Leland a footballer out of TCU ran a WR 9.4 in the 30's, on these tracks today he's blowing by Bo and Deion.

100 YARDS 1929 NCAA

1. George Simpson (Ohio State) ...........................a white guy

Jr ................
9.4
(WR, AR but not ratified because starting blocks
—illegal at the time—were used, CR, MR)
2. Claude Bracey (Rice) ........................................
Jr ................
c9.5
3. Eddie Tolan (Michigan) ......................................
So ..............
c9.6
4. Cy Leland (TCU) ...............................................ran his WR a few years later
Jr ................
c9.6
5. Jack Elder (Notre Dame) ...................................
Sr ...............
nt
6. Jay Wilcox (Kansas) ..........................................
Jr ................
nt
7. Emmett Toppino (Loyola/New Orleans) .............
So ..............
nt
8. DeArmond Hutson (Denison) ............................
So ..............
nt
(Heats [6/7]: Simpson 9.5, Tolan 9.5; marks equal to WR, AR but no

It works both ways

The players were less athletic but smarter, more focused and harder workers. A (white) player from that era with today's scouting would make these monkeyballers look silly

Which is why less athletic smart guys like Julian Edelman are in the league and winning SB MVPs at the highest level. Heck, Tom Brady isn't particularly athletic, never has been, he's just tall and smart. He takes far fewer sacks than guys who would annihilate him in a long-speed race.

If Bledsoe didn't go down and his NFL career didn't pan out, Brady could be a CEO at a Fortune 500 finance firm today.

Guys like Mike Vick and Lamar Jackson, even Fig Newton will dazzle in the regular season, but take sacks and ultimately choke come playoff time.

A band of angry, primal black guys on defense is usually best because of the angry, primal factor plus they are more athletic. There is however room for the white MLB position, majority of 4-3 MLBs are white because that requires more smarts and commandeering skills. Athleticism is important there, but secondary.

I also don't get why we don't have a decent about of white slot corners right now to match up with the white slot WRs of the league. I prophesized in 2012 that we'd see a lot of white slot CBs by the end of the decade (that could also play safety and special teams if necessary) because they're quick and smart and usually don't need to run deep as much as the outside CBs as they're more likely to play man slot, or flat and hook zones, or blitz occasionally.
