Brandon Roy was pretty good before them injuries. This is why superstars in the NBA take steroids because of wear and tear of a grueling season and quicker recovery from injuries. Not everyone can afford to go to Germany and see a special doctor to keep their careers going. Solution is to shorten the season and more time between games.

I just want a rule to say that no player can appear in more than 66 games. It shortens players seasons without shortening the league's season. It also expands the benches and allows teams to give rookies and G-League players more burn. Increase roster sizes to 18 and go for it.

The same can work in the NFL. The owners want an 18-game regular season? Sure, but each player can only appear in 16 games.

Lol I was about to make this thread

Pre injury Penny was unreal

Just ask Scottie and Mike, they couldn’t guard him, especially on the low post, he would destroy them

Truth. Penny was my dude though. He would kill it in today's NBA. Damn I wish he didn't get hurt.

Not overrated or underrated. Back in the day circa '94 / '95 he was insanely popular, and seemingly everyone's favorite player. Everywhere you'd look you'd see Magic #1 jerseys. Post injury he was never the same, and that was that.

Shaq and Penny were supposed to win multiple chips, I remember all the kids in elementary hyping them up :lol

Penny was too brittle to dominate night in and night out. I actually liked him more on the Knicks when the expectations were lowered.

Nah he wasn't underrated by any stretch. People were calling him the next Magic Johnson. They said he was going to be the next face of the league. He was in tons of national commercials and all his games were on primetime tv. The NBA understood how important he was.

True. Even my sister had a Penny Hardaway poster in her bedroom when we were kids, and she doesn't even care about basketball anymore. :lol
