Since Darius Miles is on the block...

Should the Spurs try offer Rasho for him? Salaries are close and Pop could shoot for SF depth. I know he's mainly played 2-3 in Portland and he has a great wingspan which I think would be perfect. (Health may be an issue). Portland seems to be inquiring about Malik Rose....

Lets see....Rasho or Malik.....?

I would love to see us land talent like Miles for Rasho. After going to tonights game its obvious what a complete waste of space he is on the floor. However there isnt a snowballs chance in hell of us landing in kind of young talented player for Rasho.

He's often on Top 5 or Top 10 lists of league malcontents. He's a headcase. Sure, that could be turned around, but he's another player with lots of talent and a serious attitude problem.

You guys dont need miles or M Rose or any other rediculous trades that come to mine. You guys won the championship with Rasho at the 5. Relax stay put. You guys are loaded, besides where are you gonna play him behind all the sf & sg you guys have?

I think he's already cussed out Nate McM at practice. I'd say he's a top 3 malcontent in the league. There's a reason he's being shopped. I also heard they want 1) young players, or 2) ending contracts. Isaiah was trying to get him (enough reason to stay away right there!) but they wouldn't take Rose in return.

Just say no. I don't think I would give a second-round pick for him. And texbum, stop the hate. The number of times we hear things like "Rasho is a complete waste of space on the floor" is getting ridiculous.

Miles was great against the Spurs last season but he really stopped listening to Mo Cheeks. Portland signed him for close to a $50M committment.

According to Hoopshype, here is Miles' salary overt the next 5 yrs.:
2005-2006 2006-2007 2007-2008 2008-2009 2009-2010
$6,750,000 $7,500,000 $8,250,000 $9,000,000 $9,750,000

"Miles was great against the Spurs last season"

He was averaging 13 PPG last season, but against a very solid game by the Spurs @POR, he scored 17 pts in the 4th, plus Damon was "high" too, to beat the Spurs.

He's just another talented, expensive balla with head problems. What a waste.

I think that was Zach Randolph .. but I'm not denying Miles is somewhat of a head case.

It would be a good value trade, but is it the right fit? Darius doesnt have the effort to play defense, and is a streaky shooter at best.

Malik comes across as a world class guy, but I keep telling people he's barely an NBA player.
