Keep in mind 2 things:
1) I took these videos with my digital camera
and
2) I was trying my best to hold the camera still while taping but was laughing so it's really shaky but still funny as heck

Enjoy! (right click, save target as)

Misty, did you get the "school of hard knocks" Bruce/Michael clip?

I'd rank that up there, with the crowd's reaction, with the above two.

Thanks for posting. No way to describe them, the videos are nearly as good as being there.

Thanks Misty! Your're awesome! =)

I heard Brent get interviewed for the Impact Player show last night.

Bill S asked him if any of the guys were speaking to him since the lunch.

Brent said something to the effect of " Not really but as long as Pop still talks to me I am not too worried." :lol

Great job! Those clips were hilarious. :lmao

It's really cool to see Brent becoming one of the family. I think he's destined for a great year now that he's finally comfortable.

I wish I had but could only record a couple and didn't know what they were going to do for those guys. These are the only 2 that I recorded but I'm really glad I got Parker's, I laugh every time I watch it.

ok, no problem, I'm surprised you got so many pics AND videos in your little camera.

Now, all the pressure is on a well-connected KORI to get the full video from WOAI who must have been one one of the 3 or 4 cameras on the media platform at the back of luncheon room.

Not saying you, batman2883, just saying what Brent did was disrespectful to Tony. The man is in love, leave him alone and let him learn from his mistakes (if any). He's grown, he not a child, he's knows what he doing, whether it's right or wrong. Remember, this is only the beginning of jokes on Tony and Eva.

It shall only get worse, but then again, eva keeps telling all the news and reporters that she wants to get married already and have a family and move back to texas

"disrespectful to Tony"

In spite of all the laughter, myself included, I admit I was also a little uneasy about the Tony clip.

Sure, a star athlete dating a show business sex symbol star is trite stuff of tabloids. Stars know that tabloid exposure comes with the terrain. NOTHING is sacred.

But this situation wasn't safely remote and filtered through the anonymous tabloids. The joker and the butt of the joke were actually in the same room before a 1000 of the public.

Turn it around: Tony showing a clip introducing Brent plus Brent's very attractive wife while showing pics of Brent's wife in bikinis, etc, including suggested infidelity. Absolutely verboten.

Anyone concerned about it being disrespectful to Tony ... you missed last year when Tony was the one doing the player introductions. He was brutal - comments like "2-minute Malik" (cuz Malik only played 2 minutes the entire season), bringing TD, Coach Pop and Sean Marks to the front to take a picture w/ Ginobili's gold medal, saying that Barry was shooting something like 3 for 60, etc. No, Tony was lucky it wasn't worse. (you can read about last year's luncheon here: http://www.mistilynn.com/tipoff10-22-04.htm)

I was there last year, too.

All that ribbing between the players and coaches ABOUT BASKETBALL is totally within bounds, and Tony gave us a lot of laughs last year. There's probably very little that out of bounds, brutal or not. Pop himself is incessantly sarcastic and ironic, setting a tone. Tony's comment last year about Brent's inability to hit a shot in pre-season was brutal, funny, and perfectly ok.

But joking about ABOUT PERSONAL LIFE is very different. Perhaps Tony already gets a lot of ribbing from the team already about Eva and escorting her to enterntainment events, etc so maybe there was an accepted precedent within the team. But doing it in public is still pretty risky.

I think joking about Tony with Eva was less risky than bringing up Duncan to take a picture w/ Manu's gold medal, you could tell that hit a sore spot with Timmy last year.

"disrespectful to Tony"

Tony was on a french radio show one hour after the luncheon.
He said :
I did it three years in a row so we change this year.
Brent barry takes delight in doing it because I had teased them a lot, it was the revenge. It was funny, funny.

Tony is getting the shit that david beckham gets with his high profile former spicegal vic beckham wife.

"you could tell that hit a sore spot with Timmy last year."

I think the refereeing made him more sore, more frustrating than losing.
Anyway, USA BBall isn't his main gig. I'm sure he was sore all the way to the bank. :)

From Brent's comments during the season, I wasn't surprised how well Brent ran the show this year. A natural joker and showman. What amazed me last year was how well Tony ran the show. Brent's video clips and jokes certainly raised the bar.

I think that the guys had some idea what Brent was going to do to them as they were introduced.
If not, that makes Gino accepting his academy award even funnier. =)

When Manu went up to get his Oscar, I was hoping Brent would stumble into Manu, who would flop down melo-dramatically. :lol
