I don't think you understand "doomsday asteroids". Or the difference between meteors and asteroids.

Comet caused the Grand Canyon and multiple impacts caused the dinosaurs to die out due to dust pollution and more importantly, global cooling.

I had a horrid dream last night about big time nukes hitting the USA and me screaming for help but afraid that this time it wasn't a dream and this time it was for real. But then after a few panicked sweaty moments I did wake up in my own bedroom. It was about 3:30 am.

that makes sense as well. I'll have to compare them when I can turn up my speakers.
Just from memory though, I feel like Asteroids was more "pew pew" than SI.

A handful of interesting finds from the scientific community this week.. there's been several press conferences in major cities around the world scheduled for a supposedly groundbreaking announcement about the research into black holes too
The advancement in mapping technology recently too.. different subject, but they've been mapping out all these ancient Mayan cities that have been buried under the jungle for the last couple thousand years

What?
Its the Earth's atmosphere.
Magnetic Force field?
Its a magnetic field.
And it does nothing to force away large objects or whittle them down.
Millennially Mixed Up.
But the video was really cool.

So it really changed you huh?
I saw a rocket explode over central Florida in the 70's as a kid. It looked like a ringed planet in the night sky for at least an hour.
