Very strange reaction from an opposing bench, don’t see that very often

The kid can jump out of the gym. Funny to see the opposing team get all big-eyed over it.

But if I was responsible for "Dunk Comp" (whatever the hell that is), I would have a rule that the guy has to at least get to the rim.

Back in the day MJ used to get those reactions from opposing benches all the time.

So i guess he missed the dunk considering title says attempt?

He jumped a little too early, and wasn't even going to make it to the rim. He tried to roll it over and make a layup, but was way off. Hell of a leap, though.

If he had just jumped too early and missed, there would have been no foul called. The guy under the basket impeded his flight with his hand, causing him to come up short. if he hadn't, it would have been a Sport Center highlight.

Maybe, I don't know. I watched it a few times. It looked like he was rolling his hand under before the contact because he knew he was coming up short. I'm not going to argue it. It was a hell of a leap, and I like the fact that he was pressing the action a lot. He's not the first guy to miss a dunk, either way.

By far, the most enjoyable part of the game. Looking forward to seeing a lot more of these types of reactions next year.

looks like he just lost control of the ball at the top (may have been related to the contact... a foul WAS called). but he didnt necessarily jump early. he still got to the rim. the ball didnt

Mozgov had to completely shift momentum and jump from a stationary point; even then, DeRozan only rattled it home.

The way players shuffle around the league, they are all just players and they react to freakish athleticism just like everyone else, regardless who's doing it. There are YT videos of opposing bench reactions that are hilarious, like the Gerald Green windmill dunk in the game.
