View Full Version : Tim Duncan's Ranking In 20-10 Games?

By the time TD retired, he had 498 regular season games where he had at least 20 points and 10 rebounds, and he did it 105 times in the playoffs.

Can anybody point me in the direction of where he ranked all-time in 20-10 games at the time of his retirement? I tried to find this info and wasn't able to. I was at the gym other day and had somebody tell me that TD didn't have that many great/dominant games in comparison to other all-time great big men. More than anything else, I believe TD's greatness is misunderstood.

Thanks in advance to anybody who can answer the question for me!!

Remember that his prime was in one of the toughest defensive eras the league has seen. Scoring stats were generally lower for years.

Yes, and the pace was also considerably slower.

Duncan had a quadruple double in an NBA finals. Nobody has ever done this. They didn't credit him for 2 blocks but if you watch the game you'll actually see that he had it. He dominated Blake Griffin in the playoffs at 38. And you don't become a 3 time finals MVP if you're not dominating

Minor correction,at 38 he dominated Bosh and won his 5th ring.

He was destroying Blake Griffin at 39! :clap

Yes, I remember all of these things very well. He also dominated Bosh at 37, but unfortunately he was let down by his teammates.

Every player ahead of him retired before him, so yes, that's where he was on the list when he retired.

The first active players on the list include Dwight Howard at 340, the retiring Dirk at 324, Pau at 255, and LBJ at 254. Tim's gonna be there for a while.

Do you have the numbers for playoff games only? I would think Tim is near if not at the top.
