Nets guard/forward Vince Carter suffered a minor injury to his right foot in Wednesday's practice, and while he and coach Lawrence Frank disagree on whether he should play Friday night (Carter says yes, Frank is cautious), they agree that there is no long-term concern, according to the Star-Ledger.

Seems almost untruthful that Carter would want to play the final preseason game. In fact, we're not buying it. However, he will be in the lineup on opening day. Last season, after being jettisoned from Toronto, Carter averaged nearly 25 points, five boards, and four assists. We expect him to at least meet those numbers if not succeed them this season.
