Mavericks: Stackhouse timetable uncertain

Mavericks guard Jerry Stackhouse has missed all but one of the team's eight preseason games with inflammation in his right knee and now he may be faced with dealing with it all season. "Right now, I feel that it's an injury that has to heal itself, and once it heals itself I'll be back playing," Stackhouse told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. "I don't have a timetable as far as that goes. I'm just going to let my body heal itself and go from there. It is what it is."

Stackhouse did note that the knee had shown some improvement over the last couple days, but he didn't seem as optimistic as he's was earlier this preseason. His role on fantasy teams is benchwarmer, and that is where he should remain in the first week of the season.
