Bernie keeps running as a Democrat precisely to avoid being a Ralph Nader. He's stated before that the system is massively rigged against independents and 3rs parties. He thinks it's easier to run within the system. I personally have mixed feelings about his strategy.

Dem establishment doesn't see, now or anytime, that self-defined-independent, social democrat Bernie is an acceptable Dem candidate.

Biden is supposed to announce Thu, and the Dem establishment will put all of their resources into supporting him, not Bernie.
