They just need to surround Jokic with a better mix of vets and young guns. That might mean trading Murray if he becomes too expensive and fucks their cap situation. The biggest issue I have with the Blazers is that they’ll always have a low ceiling while Terry Stotts is in the sidelines. This is a guy that never figured out for a whole series that Beli was a defensive liability, tbh...

The point is if the road team wins they're obviously in the driver's seat. They simply don't many times cos they're still on the road against a playoff team. Really it's just a natural outcome in most cases. But in this case, the stat will not mean much if Portland doesn't hold serve and Denver then has two of the final three games at home.
