Of course. Spurs don't have clutch player

I think DeRozan would have gotten good looks over McCollum and LMA would have fared well against injured Kanter. Outside of Hood the Blazers have a weak bench.

Spurs weren’t gonna beat anybody, man :lol.

I seriously still can’t believe how confident some fans were in the Spurs.

I just came back from that Portland game. No way the Spurs would have competed that hard. Pop would have thrown in the towel at some point.

Load Management would never play 60 minutes for his team.

Would be down 20 after the first quarter with DeRozan shooting 1/10 while being guarded by CJ McCollum

Jokic played 65 minutes holy hell. No one even eclipsed 60 minutes in the entire game besides CJ who had 60.

I’ve watched a couple of the games in this series. It’s always hard to tell when it’s two teams and neither are the Spurs but I wasn’t overly impressed. The Nuggets were bricking again and the Blazers were playing iso ball

Enjoyed the game but couldn’t care less really. Only interest lies in the Nuggs a better match up for Golden Fake. But then again so are the Lakers :rollin

Lost our starting pg. Still took Denver to 7 games decided in last 30 seconds. Yes we dod hang with those same exact guys. Portland has more experience and has the edge now but I imagine it will be another 7 games series. Anyones series.

The Spurs are choking jotos. Fuck them. Pop and RC should gtfo if we can't "hang" with bums like the Nuggets and Blazers. Fuck you OP. Fuck Pop. Fuck everyone. :pctoss

Spurs were better in 4 of the 7 games, 1 was equal, and 2 Denver was better. So dont rewrite history. They lost yes, but cause of stupidity not lack of strength.

Pop would have subbed in DMo, QPon, and Dante as soon as the Spurs were down like 6 in OT.

Not to mention, DWhite would not have seen a single second of any OT time with Patty out there getting fucking roasted :lol

that's the most likely scenario. 3rd OT you'd probably see an all bench line up out there

Fared well against Kanter, period. Pop would find a way to coach him off the court with his poor 2 man game defense.

But Dame and CJ would have toasted their counterparts.

Load Management will probably ask out if his team is down by 10 with 3 minutes left in an elimination game.

I think that's become the popular cliche to parrot, that Jokic is out of shape and can't hang with "better athletes." You don't lead all centers in the NBA in RPM four seasons in a row being out of shape. He's in the best shape of his life now.

:lol Remember as recently as last season when some people said they'd rather have DeMarcus Cousins over Jokic?
People are still in love with raw stats over effectiveness.

Their stupidity was always gonna do them in though. It’s exactly why I had no confidence in them. Just look at how the series played out (Pops coaching, overrelying on Mills, DeRozan and LA going soft in big moments. They’re lucky Denver was inexperienced coming in.

Spurs deserve the shame. Jokic ain't even in great shape and Jamaal Murray is sub par in everything other than pic n' roll at the top of the arc.

That is the worst-coached series I've ever seen. Pop was crap.

In Game 7 he trotted out the same failed Forbes and Mills lineups and expected sh** to change in Denver? That game wouldn't have even been close
if Denver didn't suck so bad and try to give us the game anyways.

Spurs had a 1-0 lead and a 19 point lead in game 2 and somehow lost the series. It doesn't matter how good the players are. If you don't have a competent head coach, you don't win.

Spurs were a Jekyll and Hyde team this year. That's why they were real inconsistent. The nuggets series reflected that. They could have easily beaten the blazers but could have also easily lost to them. Bottom line this team just wasn't good enough to go far in the playoffs.

This is why it made no sense cheering Spur wins so they make the playoffs. they were not going far and most likely out in the first round.

It would have been better in the lottery and with a high draft pick.

Not saying the Spurs should have tanked but cheering the Spurs on to make the playoffs was stupid.

Didn't the Spurs have a big ot game in the season? I forget who it was, but obviously this thread is a little too cute.

But I agree with the sentiment that the Spurs didn't need/deserve to win because they are a flawed team. Wake me up if Houston wins game 5. I'm a 76ers fan now

One of the real hurts of being a spur fan, is that Robinson and Duncan deserved to win more but didn't. Deozan and aldy are nice folks but not at that level.

There isn't much of a difference between the 3 teams..they're all above average, nothing special, at the bottom of the top 10 in the league..

A lot were betting on the Spurs too but sadly they are the lower seed for a reason and it showed
