thanks for sharing. i need to get his book. reminds me of when joseph stiglitz went clean on the world bank. as a side note, pompeo recently offered a similar reveal (albeit with the unabashed tone of a colonizer) at a speech he gave at A&M this April when he admitted that the goal of the CIA was to lie, cheat and steal in order to maintain U.S. interests abroad.

Decent book.

Recommend it and it's an easy read. Explains also how Saudi came to be from a bunch of savage tribe heads to the fake monarchy they are now thanks to brit and us military decisions

U.S. interests abroad.

... are basically BigCorp's resource extraction.

The military is nothing but an enforcer for the oligarchy's exploitation, predation.

Joining the military (risking loss of your limbs, mind, life) to "keep America safe!" ? :lol

kids buy into the narrative sold during NFL games, in beer commercials, from the service commercials produced to look like video games and from high school recruiting. it's all geared to excite the senses and make an adolescent buy into the notion that they will be heroically defending our shores.

there are 100Ks who joined the military as "employer of last resort", and yes, obviously duped by the $100Ms/year of DoD marketing.
