And how much will get get paid, now that we know he’s good? Will some team offer him near the max in FA, or will the Spurs try to extend him and lock him up.

if he shows he can back that up wasnt a fluke year, then he get 10m

unless patfo limits his minutes and lowball him...can see him taking his talents elsewhere... i dont blame him if he leaves, cause patfo is to busy handing out loyalty contracts to veterans on the team, sacrificing young talent on the roster...

Lock him up!

Lock him up!

Lock him up!

(Only for a reasonable sum, of course. :))

Getting benched in a Game 7 in favor of Mills lowered his value, tbh.

what's the salary cap for 2021/22? I don't know why you discuss shit that is another 2 seasons ahead

Apparently the Nuggz did the same with Jokic (not saying he's going to be as good, but just saying they didn't let him hit the market)

The league knows about him now though. Some FO will be looking for a 6'5" PG who can lock down opposing guys and distribute the way he already does (not counting any improvements he makes to his game).

Not saying the FO will act on it now, just speculating on his current actual value.

But they also know that he was benched for one of the worst guards in the league...and justifiably so :lol

He's going to bounce back from that, of course, but it does lower his value and it would stay lowered until he proves he's for real next playoffs.

Nobody needs to prove for real during playoffs, so far Harden CP3 WB Wall Hayward are worth trillions and are playoff jokes.

As of right now, he's our most promising player. So, quite a bit.

Right now he's worth a hell of a lot more than his contract, which means he would carry some serious juice in a trade. But he's also the biggest bright spot in the Spurs future right now. They wouldn't trade him unless they thought the had a line on a really under-rated draft prospect like Kawhi was. They wouldn't use him in a salary dump, for sure. Would they use him in a trade for Anthony Davis? Possibly. Don't ask me what that would look like - I don't think it's going to happen, and it's not worth dissecting. But if they had a shot at truly top-tier player, they would put White in to make it happen.

If you're asking what he'll be worth in two years, that depends on whether he can back up this season by playing as good or better. By the time the Spurs have to pay him, we'll all know - and the Spurs will pay market price to keep him. Right now is when he has other teams salivating at his potential.

Unless a team blows me away for either him or Murray, they’re not available. And by blow away, it needs to be a trade into a lottery spot for a guy the Spurs absolutely covet (and that’s because of the positional overlap).

Advanced stats would peg White as a top 10 pick in a 2017 redraft (only age is an issue). Tatum, Fox and Markinnen are only guys who’ve certainly outperformed him. We’ll see about other guys like Lonzo, OG, etc.

Derrick's jizz must have smeared your eyes and blurred your vision during that game, otherwise you would've noticed he was basically 0-7 going on 0-10000. It was a miserable fucking game when he was needed the most. So you GTFO tbh.

Wombat was a traffic cone and shot 20% from the field, 10% from 3 all series long yet he "justifiably" gets to play the last 20 minutes because White was having a bad half?

GTFO hater
