You might know that Trump has instituted tariffs on products from China. Now, according to a recent article (https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-trade-china-pork/china-cancels-us-pork-import-order-as-us-china-trade-war-drags-on-idUSKCN1SM2D9) from Reuters, USDA data shows that China has cancelled orders which add up to 4,247 metric tons of pork from the US. That is absolutely huge, and terrible news for those in the US pork industry (and agriculture industry overall).
How do you feel about this trade war? Has this gone too far? What should be the US’s next move?
