Yheah, "put any elite shooter on the Warriors and they'd have Steph-level success" is one of the dumber narratives that somehow founds its way to the mainstream, tbh.

Disrespectful to the best player in the league and the most game-breaking player since Mikan . . .

Dame had one fluke series and then went right back to being the playoff choker he usually is, tbh. Media needs to stop the "Dame Time" shtick and put some respeck on CJ's name instead.

Dame's 3pt% is about average for the league (career 36.8%), while Curry's is historically high (43.6%). Comparing Dame's 3pt shooting to Curry's is like comparing a 30% shooter's to Dame's. That's a huge difference (6.8%). Essentially the difference between Curry & Dame is the same as the difference between Dame & Westbrook, who is the worst high volume 3pt shooter in NBA history. It's statistically the same gap that exists between what a scout would call a "shooter" and a "nonshooter," or a guy with a "broken" shot. Oh, and Curry's 2pt% is higher too.

Many act as if you could replace steph with any above average PG and warriors would be just as good :lol

Shooting percentage is a function of skill and shot selection. Curry's shot selection is much better. Dame is at best a poor man's Curry. He's simply not good enough to be a first option on a championship team.

As if Curry was the reason GS won Game 4. It was their depth and bench scoring which opponents such as Portland and Denver don't have.

I saw the highlights, Curry bricking unable to put Portland away.

Trade Curry and Lillard and it's still a GS sweep, tbh. But I'll admit Lillard looked to defer too much, so I'll give the edge on overall to Curry and the edge on pure shooting to Lillard.

Curry took a steaming shit all over Lillard this series. It wasn't even close. He outplayed him about to the same extent Lillard outplayed Westbrook in the first round.

There are levels to greatness, and the playoffs tend to show it best. Steph > Lillard >> Westbrick

Curry had a good series against a weak Portland defense. Lillard had a bad series against a good Warriors defense.

I already said I give the edge to Curry; but this isn't an apples to apples comparison.
