"Houston Rockets (http://www.espn.com/nba/team/_/name/hou/houston-rockets) general manager Daryl Morey has made his entire roster and future draft picks available in trade talks, a dramatic initiative with hopes of reshaping the team into a championship contender, league sources told ESPN.
The possibility of trading All-NBA guard James Harden (http://www.espn.com/nba/player/_/id/3992/james-harden) is believed to be extremely limited, but the rest of the roster -- including even Chris Paul (http://www.espn.com/nba/player/_/id/2779/chris-paul) and Clint Capela (http://www.espn.com/nba/player/_/id/3102529/clint-capela) -- could be more realistic trade targets, sources said."

Not sure about that. Article doesn’t say Harden is off limits. This is Tillman Fertitta

Capela is playable against everyone but GS. Gordon can also help a contender. Paul no one is biting on unless LeBron demands him in LA and the Lakers are dumb enough to give up picks.

Even if you ignore how Capela is unplayable against the only team that matters, his contract is still pretty bad. His game doesn't have nearly enough substance to deserve that kind of money, it's all just pure athleticism. As soon as he loses a step, he'll be on his way out of the league.

Good point on Gordon, though, I could see a team trading for him.

Capela's deal expires when he's 29 years old. he wont decline athletically by then. unless you're talking injury, which is an equal risk to every player, not unique to capela

I heard Eddie Johnson propose this yesterday with that clown Justin Terrible. He might be a better fit than Kyrie tbh. But I suspect Scary Terry will be given the reigns when Kyrie bolts for the Knicks?

I mean look what shitty business decisions Brooklyn made with Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett. I could see them taking on Chris Paul's contract.

his salary is what makes any trade so difficult.... but looking at teams that would be theoretical roster fits, Utah would be a good candidate.

That was a different era for Brooklyn. They're in rebuild mode now with a different GM, with a bunch of decent , young players-- i don't see them touching CP3's contract.

Rockets went all in for Paul, hoping for a ring, while knowing those last few years would be overpaying.... there's no ring, and now they're all out. Good luck with that. I could maybe see Charlotte do it to unload Batum's contract, if Kemba leaves.

I'll take another 6-7 years of no playoffs over trading for Paul and/or Derozan
