Darius Garland

School: Vanderbilt
Position: PG
Age: 19
Height: 6-foot-2
Weight: 175
Wingspan: 6-foot-5
Draft Range: 4 to 10
Combine Results? No

Why: Silky smooth shooter. He's that pick-and-roll maestro that every team wants who can kill you with long bombs or deft passes. Speedy, very good ball-handler, good vision, plays at a fast yet under control pace. Natural born leader.

Why Not: Small sample size; played only five games at Vanderbilt. A torn meniscus ended his freshman season early. Too skinny to survive defensively on Day 1. Hasn't learned to finish at the rim yet and not an explosive athlete so that will always be an uphill battle.

Spurs Fit: He only makes sense for the Spurs if they're going to trade away Derrick White and/or Dejounte Murray.

Spurs Comparison - Ceiling: Bigger, More Talented Speedy Claxton

Spurs Comparison - Floor: Cory Alexander

Because he's doing a pretty comprehensive preview of draft eligible players, not just players the idiots here want.

Oh yeah, most def!!! Hat's off to Timvp for his extensive & hard work! A lot of homework and research goes into doing this! The draft info he posts on ST is helpful & intriguing! Thanks, Timvp, but ST posters will be ST posters, lol!
