Phase one of the 100m....reaction to the gun, then the acceleration.drive phase, heading into the topend/max velocity stage, here is where speed endurance comes into play, that ability to sustain/maintain a huge % of that MV, next up the decelleration phase, those who decellerate the slowest because of superior SE do have a big advantage (usually a great 200m cat also).
