18 seconds left Warriors down 2.
The play were he tripped over his own foot with apparently no contact by the defense whatsoever?
Gets awarded two FTs instead of crucial turnover.

Curry was great in the Finals, as he usually is..I haven't seen a player draw that much attention since prime Shaq, and even he didn't do it to this extent..

The Raptors entire strategy was based on getting the ball out of his hands, even at the expense of leaving Klay wide open all series..

You have to be a real basketball purist to understand Curry's greatness, tbh..

Another team losing a player of KD's dominance and talent would've gotten completely swept, especially having to carry massive offensive liabilities like Cousins or Draymond, tbh... Curry was basically the only reason this went to 6 (and almost 7) games...

Sure, he's not Jordan or LeBron or an all-time great big man, but I'd bet that he's comparable to most others in the 11-20 all-time range, in this regard..

Hey, I'm not saying he isn't great. In fact, I'm one of the few guys that has him currently number 1 in the "current top 10?" thread. I'm just saying that he has now too many sub-par (for his standards) performances to think it's just a coincidence.

I don't think it's surprising that he isn't as dominant as the other top 10ish all-time guys in the Finals..he's a PG, it's a position where you're physically disadvantaged..there's a reason he's the only guy other than Magic who is even near the discussion..

Klay is not better. If you watch the games closely you see how much defensive attention Curry gets that opens up the game for his teammates.

Stop it. No one was triple teaming curry with Klay and iggy on the floor. Cut it out. And if U would watch the game, you’d see that Klay not only has to score but also guard the best wing on the other team. Curry ain’t guarding Westbrook, Lillard or Kawhi

Not to mention 0-8 on go-ahead shots in the final 20 seconds of playoff games (the most attempt any player has without a make).

That's a really bad statistic for Curry :lol

GS beat a hurt Cleveland team in 2015 (no Kyrie or K. Love) then won 73 games and instantly was labeled a Dynasty. Then they lost to Cleveland and went to get KD. They are 1-2 without KD in the Finals. So I can finally stop hearing "Dynasty" associated with Dremond and the Splash Brothers :)

That excuse also doesn't apply to the relatively open look he had at the end that would have won it. Ignoring Klaynus and Durant being injured, Kerr drew up a great play at the end to free him up for an open, game winning shot and he missed it.

I don't think a lack of clutchness was ever a criticism of Melo. Melo was more criticized for sucking on defense, never becoming a good passer, and never learning how to play within an offense. I don't think anyone disputes that Melo is a good option to take the game winning shot with time running out.

Klay is the FMVP if you look at impact on the court when he was and wasn't available... it's like having a Ray Allen on offense and a Bruce Bowen on defense, as I've said in the past.

I use the Bowen comparison because he's such a great man-cover defender without getting a lot of steals or blocks. Like Van Gundy alluded to... elite as a cornerback but a liability as a safety.
