I just saw a bit of the Spurs championship parade. I realised it was on a river. That shit had to be so cool, thats probably the best championship rally ever. What brent Barry said about being stuck with the Slovenians was pretty funny. How much of you guys were in attendance? Where can I purchase a dvd of it?

The parade is always on the River, in 99, 03, and then in 05.

Usually between 400,000 and 500,000.

There's not a lot of room to stand or sit along the riverwalk.

Feet in the water, nice cool shade, an endless sea of Silver & Black. It's the next best thing to sitting center court during Game 6 of the 2003 NBA Finals. Then getting to walk down on the court during the Championship Cerimony. I had no pass, only the solid black polo shirt on my back, which turned out to be enough. I'm not sure how, but I just walked down there, no one said anything. Too busy celebrating I suppose. Getting to celebrate the championship, on the home floor. UNBELIEVABLE EXPERIENCE.

It was packed.. I had a hard time getting shot from getting shoved. We chopped down a bunch of shrubs.. We had a team looking out for the police so when they where not looking we could kill some of that friggin overgrowth ahhaha.

If you wanna be where the players stop and say a fe wwords to the fans, it's incredibly packed. If you just wanna see them float by later on down the river, there's plenty of space to sit.

I went to the riverwalk parade in '99 but sat way too far away to see anything special other than the players just passing us by, and my seats at the alamodome were really high up because we were at the riverwalk instead of saving seats. So from then on I just go to the alamodome and watch the parade from there on the jumbotron.
