Do you guys think Manu will have a breakout season and average say 23 a game, or will he stay about the same until the playoffs and average 18 a game during the regular season? With all the new additions, I think he'll be 18, 4, and 5.

He's not averaging 20.

I just know that every year, he keeps getting better and better.....I never thought he could be an all star, not even considering him for finals MPV!!! The force is strong in him!!!

He's not averaging 20.

Probably not, but on a bad team he could easily average 25 points a night. Like I said, I'm thinking maybe 18 a night, I'm just looking for other people's opinions.

I do not see Manu averaging much more than he already is.

I don't think so, maybe his ppg will increase slightly, with more plays called for him, but unless Barry gets traded, he won't play more than 30mpg. I have a feeling that Pop will use the depth of this roster and will rotate a lot to keep players healthy and fresh for the playoffs, unless the bench doesn't live up to the hype, which is very unlikely to happen.

Yeah I dont think Pop will let him play enough to avg 23 ppg....Id say somewhere along the same lines of last year...16 during the season and 18 during the playoffs.

It'd be amazing if Tim averages 23.....

Manu will do the same as last year, maybe 17, you can't produce too much with a defensive minded team....

And with a coach that loves to conserve his players.

I know he will play another all-star game for sure this season and i think he will average 17 pts 5 boards 5 assist and 2.5 steals. And his playoffs numbers will be like last seasons. He is a great player so I wouldnt be suprized if Pop lets him carry alot the load of the scoring from Duncan this season and get like 22 a game.

manu has not shown that his body could take scoring 25 points a game
(his body would be broken)

it is very difficult to have 2 players on your team to average 20 points a game
and duncan is going to get 20 or more

he will be awesome but I would be shocked to have 2 spurs average over 20 points a game in the regular season

Manu will get a real test this year from opposing players and refs. They will pack it in, foul him hard, and look for the "flops". I think he will get off to a slow start until he adjusts to the way he is being defended and officiated.

Manu and Tim were averaging that to start the season off last year for a time.

Then over the course of the season Manu dropped under the 20 mark.

Maybe Manu can sustain this year. He started off that way last season.

I even remember an article somewhere saying Manu and Tim were one of the top NBA tandems with both scoring 20 a game.

Oh, Gee!!
