Wow it was revealing to me that Keldon Johnson didn’t work out or meet with the Spurs bc his agent thought he’d go higher. With the Spurs having the 19th pick, he must have thought himself a lottery pick.

Now that I recall, even though Dejounte Murray also expected to go in the lottery he had an interview with the Spurs at his managers office (Rich Paul) and he really liked the Spurs and wanted to be drafted by them, only he thought he’s was going to be picked b4 they picked him. It’s really interesting to find out these tidbits. Possibly Keldon thought some other team was going to draft him.

If you put any stock into draft analysts and mock drafts, he had a range of about 10-27 it seemed.

It’s interesting that Shams tweeted that Cleveland was taking Keldon before later tweeting that they pivoted to Windler. I wonder if that was true or if he simply had bad info.

Could very well have been true bc Johnson (or his agent) was very confident he wouldn’t be available for the Spurs to pick.

The man is impressive, I will give him that. How he slurred together appropriate answers as hung over as he was is quite the talent.

As teams will do with their star players and leaders, do you think RC and Pop ran the selections by Patty Mills prior to choosisng?

Didn't hear RC say that in the interview or is it just a given?
