For the right price, I'd like to see the Spurs bring WCS on to the team I believe he has the potential to be something special with the right development and environment. He's asked the Kings to let him become an UFA. He'd probably choose to go to the Lakers though.

Lol. The only team that I’ve ever heard do that is the Spurs. If he is let go, he will be, far too expensive for SA.

Oh, and players who complete their rookie deals are usually poor candidates for further development. They’re looking to get paid, not coached. MKG is in the same boat.

doesn’t he have sickle cell trait and have endurance problems because of it?

It doesn't appear Cauley-Stein has any endurance problem. He played in 81 games for Sacto, at 27 min/gm.

He's coming off a contract for 4.7 mil.

Last season, 11.9 ppg, 8.4 reb, 2.4 assts.

Career, 10.1 ppg, 6.4 reb, 1.6 assts.

His physical appearance is, um, interesting. For whatever that's worth.

Dude is looking to get paid..more than the mle, I'm sure and we have more pressing needs than a center...if we did not have poeltl, sure.

That's why I am concerned about Culver going to a crappy organization. Some teams are willing to throw rookies into the lake and say, "Sink or swim," ignoring player development. As a rookie or second year player WCS would have been a terrific addition to the Spurs, but not now.
