Read somewhere it’s uncomfirmed if it’s a reboot because Keanu is on board should it come to fruition

The Wachowskis have regressed pretty badly in their creativity and writing so this would probably bomb.

I don't get the Michael B hype. I think he's a mediocre actor at best, good enough for a solid role on something like Riverdale

The original was good but it doesn’t need a reboot.

After the two sequels I believe that lady who said they stole her idea, that was the only good thing they did.

This will fail. There is no way to recreate the spectacle of the 1st matrix upon first viewing.

Way more interesting shit out there tbh.

If they're going to reboot, I'd rather see it as a series or miniseries set in the Matrix universe.

Plenty to be explored there, and maybe they can make it make more sense than the sequels.

What’s amazing is how out of date The Matrix has already become. Hacking into landline phones and having to be jacked in :lol Also the special effects that were groundbreaking at the time just looks corny as hell now.

I disagree.

Saw the first movie a couple of weeks ago on Netflix and it still holds up pretty great.

The CGI on the first still look better than the marvel movies. Specially the early ones where you had Captain America and Bucky jumping off buildings and landing in such a cartoonish way.

Yeah that first matrix is still very solid.

The 2nd two, no.

The “bullet time” sequences are cringeworthy now. May be due to all the parodies that came afterwards, but it’s just not as cool looking as it was back then.

it's always going to be a cult classic. good stuff especially seeing it the first week it came out in the theaters.
