I see a lot of these free agents going to the lakers once they miss out on kl...they are going to need to spend the money filling out the roster instead of another max fa...but Carroll would be a nice fit...my preference is to find one nice player to spend the MLE on, but maybe spliting the MLE between 2 people is a good option..I could see Carroll getting $4.5 and we would have another $4.5 to sign someone else....

His contract was $15.4 million. He probably won't drop into the Spurs' price range.

He's 3 years older now, and frankly, that was an overpay. He also didn't have a great year. Father time may be winning the race.

Yes, definitely an overpay. But if he can't get 10 mil now, would he say screw it, and go to China? Hm.

If he does, he does. Most players won't go there, though. The cultural adjustment is massive.

Best fit and more likely to be in the Spurs price range tbh.

He's older than Pondexter, and less than a year younger than Cunningham. Hard pass.

He can still play and was always better than either of them. Good defender who can shoot a high volume and a decent percentage on 3's. I'd be interested.

He's OLD. His numbers also took a dive last year.

In before you start protecting him only because he now wears a Spurs jersey.

Exactly. Ignore these ass clowns throwing their tantrums on Mom’s couch. Demarre Carrol is still a good defensive wing and hits the three well

Well, now that PATFO signed him I'm sure you will find a way to justify liking the signing, tbh. :lol

Great signing tbh. Good deal too. Gay may end up starting but Carroll can be a good off the bench 4.

Murray, White, DDR, Gay, LMA
Mills, Forbes, Walker, Carroll, Poeltl

Weird that people are complaining about his age, by the time his deal ends he'll be 34.

Is he a power forward or a small forward at this point in his career. Cant really say he is a combo or small forward if he spent the bulk of his time at power forward for the nets. Solid pickup because he keeps belineli from guarding small forwards but can we use belineli for a sign and trade for stanley Johnson.

Chinook

Carroll isn't a small-forward. He's a power-forward. The team needed a power-forward, not a small-forward. That part of this makes perfect sense.
