It's probably smart on his part though. Lock down a multi year deal.

Durant is still considering a number of scenarios in free agency, including a return to Golden State, league sources tell ESPN. The New York Knicks (https://www.espn.com/nba/team/_/name/ny/new-york-knicks), Brooklyn Nets (https://www.espn.com/nba/team/_/name/bkn/brooklyn-nets) and LA Clippers (https://www.espn.com/nba/team/_/name/lac/la-clippers) are also believed to be considerations, sources said.

You guys think he will take whoever offers him the most money -period?

Can Golden Phaggots offer him more then the rest?

I'd like to see the skinny phuck take a one year deal with Golden and rehab on their dime.

He'll end up doing something stupid instead of something coherent & cogent.

Within a half hour of the Achilles tear,,,Media in full unison:::"This will have absolutely no impact on his free agency. I've talked to at least a 1/2 dozen NBA GM's and they all, every one of 'em, every mother's son agreed that it will not change one blessed thing on his free agency status. In fact, dare I say.........I will. I will say, this injury could turn out to be a (good thing)!

Woo Hoo!"

Thread

& yet there is something so stupidly ingrained in sports GM's, especially white ones that I could see one or more of 'em throwing the same amount & years at hiim.

"I know it's a risk, but, I can't sit idly by, even though the risk/reward is almost nil...I can't sit here as a middle aged to old white man & do nothing. If it doesn't work, I did the right thing no matter what. No-matter-what."

And the dumb fuck fan base in that city will poll in firm support of the asshole. Yes, with straight faces.

I'll never understand it if I live to be a 100.

Exact?
Or more money now can be offered from Golden even for one year?

& once signed they'll institute a full fledged Team/Media procedure to endure what is to come. "No matter how long it takes, home many years, how much sacrifice is made we're gonna see it thru to the total success I know is coming. We're not going to think about failure. Failure does not exist in this DoJo. Pain does not exist in this DoJo. A decent soft drink machine does not exist in this DoJo. What is your fucking' problem Mr. Lawrence?
Form up. We have a guest. A slope & a dope."

No, but, ironically I just watched a YouTube video showcasing both Machio & Johnny side-by-side. It was really enjoyable. They talked all facets of the original "Kid"---It was good, Killa. I just went and got the URL and discovered there is indeed another just like it except it does the Kobra Kai retrospective with both guys. I'll watch that later tonight. I don't have YouTube Red unfortunately, Killa.

Here's the URL for the KK one...https://youtu.be/kHyGJowN1Mk

You know good guys, well grounded and they talk with a lot of heart about what has happened because of that film.

Man I can't watch any successor to Karate Kid after that horrible opening to Karate Kid II with this exchange:

Daniel-san: You could have killed him right?
Miyagi: Hai.
Daniel-san: Well why didn't you?

Plus the cave bitch jailbait was gone too. :depressed

probably the dumbest decision of his career. Why not just sit out the year(which he will do anyway), collect the $31 million, THEN sign supermax next year. wtf..

They took away his reputation and his health. Now GSW will take away his soul completely.

Maybe he’s worried he’s going to suck. Remember, this isn’t some tough minded player we’re talking about.

Why wait a year to sign another max when you can sign one now guaranteeing your money amid uncertainty of how that Achilles will heal?

Wait...maybe I misunderstood. I thought he was just turning down the 1 year player option. Are you saying that he turned down a max offer from GS?

Are you in for FF this year?

because if he opts in, that's $31 million paid to do nothing as he's not gonna play anyway. Next summer, he gets supermax and it's an extra 5 years instead of signing it this summer and getting 5 years, he gets 5 years supermax and an extra $31 million for doing nothing..
