According to Shams, he will be waived by Milwaukee and become a free agent.

Dang. Would love him back on our team just because lol but there is absolutely no room for a long pg with good defense (Murray/White already).

Basically no value in Today's NBA except for as a backup PG to be unwrapped when the other team has a small guy who is going off

Hill was pretty awesome in the playoffs, tbh. Probably the best I've ever seen him play, in fact. Way better than Eric Bledsoe.

My thoughts too. Of course, I think we're pretty deep at our guard spots, so probably not necessary, but I've always like him as a backup.

Move Patty to the Kerr role which behind the scenes he’s already endorsed. Start Murray White. Hill off the bench. Knows the offense and defense already. Limit his minutes that way. Against the smaller teams he can hang with white walker and Murray etc. would improve the defense and can still hit shots as evidenced in the playoffs. Would have zero problem then going after him hardcore.

I can see him joining the Lakers. I hope he doesn't. Was always a fan of his. Especially after that incident with Kobe. Was Pop's favorite so you never know. I'd prefer him over Mills.

I think most people would agree here. Issue is, Hill wants to get paid. He is coming towards the end of a career undersized guard that's a so so shooter. Probably one more contract. Dumping Mills doesn't all of a sudden let us give Hill that type of money.

We can give him less money more years, think of something, whatever, just get it done. We're gonna have a real second unit if he comes, now its more like a third unit.

After Georgie was traded his contract situation was a 5/40 with the Pacers and then a 3/58 with the Kings (3d year, this year, not guaranteed and already waived).
Now,i'm not saying that we have the $ to sign him obviously and you're right on that.

But he's a player that in the 8 years after he left the Spurs he played in 3 ECFs and the NBA Finals last year.
He's 33 years old.He ain't making 20 per ofc,but i don't even know if he's gonna make 8 per.
What i do think is that at his age and career progress/status he's gonna value a playoff/ring contender more than $.
(He already signed his "wanna get paid" contract with the Kings)

Hill is too old now. We don't want another Pau situation.

Meh. Gasol was dirt compared to Hill now. We have like 8 sg and pgs. Lol.

If Mills would get either traded or dropped then sure!

George Hill > Patty Mills

Hill would be a great insurance policy as a backup

Exactly. If we moved Dumbmar and another guard, I would like to have George back on the Spurs.
