Why has Woj not tweeted that shit yet? Should be interesting the see the Celtics with a non-malcontent running the show. Also will be interesting to see what they might be able to snag in a sign and trade with Kyrie.

Might as well tank when Walker can't even get you to the playoffs.

so the celtics will be pretty much the same as last year. 2nd round exit team.

Kemba’s style of play isn’t that drastically different than Kyrie. Volume shooter, lots of isolation or PNR action where he ends up shooting tough, long jumpers. Not really much of a defensive upgrade either. But I’d expect he’s a not as weird, easier to get along with, and likely more coachable. He probably won’t say crazy shit to reporters all the time. He’s seems like a plus character guy. And that could make a big difference with his teammates. Talent wise, I’m not convinced it’s a big difference either way. And the loss of Horford ends up being a bigger loss to the team dynamics.

so ainge is landing kemba for 4-141 instead of paying kyrie 5-189
ainge continuing to play chess tbh, and spurstalk continues to doubt him (as usual) at every turn. if hayward didnt break his leg we have a very different impression imo

Isn't this blatant tampering by the Celtics? Free agency hasn't even started yet.

i dont get it either tbh... unless they've just independently confirmed from the 2 camps that kemba prefers celts provided max offer is there, and that celts intend to offer him a max deal as a priority FA

Charlotte opening the path to trade for Demar DeRozan. Signing Rozier at the cheap once Boston dumps him. Having an all star shooting guard at the 2 and with Batum at the 3 and MKG as the small ball 4. The Bobcats are back baby. Jordan about to get that executive of the year award.

Kind of an irrelevant move in the grand scheme, unless Tatum and Brown live up to their potential(Kemba is a #3 guy, ideally)..
Signing Gordan Hayward killed Boston, one of the worst moves of the decade..

Still trying to cherry pick a major injury.

Blame it on whatever you want, it's been one of the worst moves in recent history..
Stevens force-feeding him was arguably even worse than Kyrie's issues..
Not as talented as Kyrie but will play hard every possession and help his teammates get better. Celtics now need to replace Hortford, Rozier, and Morris.

No. It's one of the worst outcomes. For all we know, the move was great in and of itself.

Smartest move the Hornets have made in a while was not maxing him. What would be even better would be getting something for him in a sign-and-trade.

Agreed everyone makes excuses because we feel bad for Hayward and or overrated Stevens like I did...

Dude was a rich man's Chandler Parsons (pre injury for both guys)... That is not worth a max to the Celts when u building a title contender with all the picks Ainge had...
Kemba is a nice signing but to me forcing Tatum to be secondary playmaker was what was best in the long run... If he is the blue chip prospect I think he was why have Kemba and Hayward (its, only thing Hayward still does well) block his development? If he just gonna be a mid range scorer/spot up shooter... should have traded him for Kawhi or AD

Boston's situation really shows how difficult team building can be. Trading Kyrie for IT was a good move, but how could they have known there'd be chemistry problems with the young guys? Hayward was the best of the second tier SFs, and suffered a gruesome injury five minutes into his first game. Sometimes basketball is like poker, where you can go all in on a bet you have a 75% chance of winning, but you still lose.
