Marbury to stay at the point

Despite Larry Brown's desire to put Stephon Marbury in a pure scoring role, he will begin the season as the primary point guard. The Seattle Times is citing wire services that report that Brown will use Marbury at shooting guard more this season, but he will start at the point in the season opener on Wednesday against the Celtics. Jamal Crawford will start at the two guard spot.

As Brown's point guard, Marbury won't score as much as he has in his career (20.6 points). As his shooting guard, he won't dish as much as he has in his career (8.3 assists per game). As you might imagine, this has us concerned for his considerable fantasy value.
