Watch Clippers be like a #2 seed and Spurs be a #8 seed but Pop making our guys play really hard to get to that #7 seed just so we get spanked and embarassed by the autist in national TV. And then he will give props to him in post game interviews and say they enjoyed some wine together

I thought this was good news tbh. I was hearing Lakers and fully expected that. If the Clips had not traded for Paul George, Kawhi would've been a Laker.

He screwed the lakers. There was never any intention. He spoke to George before the start of free agency. He wanted to cut their main rivals.

It was either toronto if they dont get a second star or Clips obviously if they do get another star.

He was never ever going back to Toronto. His knee is close to shot and he needs someone to do the heavy lifting in the regular season.

Spurs getting no respect from the national media per usual. Hopefully DJ and LW4 have breakout seasons and fuck shit up!

There are only three teams in the West that will be ready to go from day one: SA, DEN and HOU.
We have a good chance to start 14-6 while everybody else figures out their chemistry with the new rosters. After that, it is going to be hard probably.

I hope they could bring in Cousins, and bring back that duncan-robinson type of play. I still like the roster now just limit the playing time of mills

Don't care where the Spurs end up. Just hoping this team will be more fun to watch this season than last year with Dejounte,Walker coming back along with seeing the other young talent develop.

This was the best thing for the Spurs. It’s an open West!

I honestly don't get the Lakers hype at all. They're literally an old ass lebron and an injury prone AD surrounded by scrubs. I'd put them at 6 or 7 out West at best.

Yeah, to me the Lakers were a 1 or 2 team if they had gotten Kawhi. Without him, I'm not sure where I would rank them. Definitely much lower.

We can beat any of these teams..... I also think Kawhi’s knee/thigh is really messed up.

I like our team. I like our draft picks. It’s going to be a good season.

This. spurs will be fine, they’re still really good at drafting and developing. The Lakers are the true losers here. And the Raptors. :lmao

Don't count out the Clippers, they have won 2 games against the Warriors with a full line-up (almost minus Cousins). Though they're gonna losing SGA and DG, they still have Jerome Robinson and their rookie big man who seems a serviceable as well. Doc Rivers is actually good rotating his players and maximizing his roster.

With the west being that balanced and a lot of teams improving, I would've liked for the Spurs to do a little more than just signing Demarre Caroll and calling it a day

The only other realistic option barring a trade is cousins tbh

Spurs make possible AD to Lakers and PG to Clip.

They does not take any assets from any LA team.

I think Toronto is going to waive Gasol he has a massive 25M this year and they will not compete for Champ.

Why waive Gasol it’s not like they are big free agents available- They might not win the East but they probably still a top 3 team there.

He was never ever going back to Toronto. His knee is close to shot and he needs someone to do the heavy lifting in the regular season.

He was never going back to Toronto, but not because he needed help (Toronto had plenty of that).

The reason Kawhi left Toronto is that he wanted a long-term deal and, therefore, Toronto couldn't be an option.

His reasoning was like this (1) my "knee is close to shot" as you put it, therefore I need a long term deal, and (2) no way I'm signing that long-term deal with Toronto.

To sign a 1-1 deal with Toronto was simply too big a risk with his injuries.

Yep. Actually could miss the playoffs if one of their big two is out for an extended time.

Lots of good teams out west. Can you imagine if Spurs play clippers in the first round as an 8th seed? Better to tank.

That would be the worst match up ever.

Who cares about what other teams are doing?! I have faith in the Spurs. There will be growing pains but we will eventually rise to the top. We are one of the few organizations in the last couple of decades who have won championships through internal, organic growth. We will get there again. Have faith.
