Maybe he can do some kind of computer work for non profits and charities in prison.
While of course my heart goes out to the victims, I'm guessing he had almost no prior LSD experience and was out of his mind when he went on rampage.

In no way shape or form blaming the security guard, but had he subdued the guy, or at least not let the guy steal his truck keys this could have had a much less harmful ending. Up to that point Acid Guy is in big trouble for smacking people and jamming his friend with a pencil, but it got 5 million times worse when he hit people with the security guards truck.

If I was his friend (or frenemy as was probably the case on these group vacations) I would have punched the shit out of him, especially if he stabbed me with a freakin pencil. Everyone hates an angry drunk

And you would have been doing him a life changing favor, the way it turned out.
He could have made major apologies, perhaps paid some of you some cash (sorry for the pencil jab fark here is a couple Gs).
Now, after he got in the truck the two attempted murder charges after hitting four people, I would think he is doing at least 20 years before any parole.
Maybe some of the resident lawyers can weigh in.

Not only that but he got shot several times by the cops and was critical/is in ICU likely right now. May be disabled for life.
