Really bad. It started off OK but then quickly became ridiculous. The ending was somewhat interesting.
But it was about 40 minutes too long.
3/10

Overrated. Doubt it'll hold up to rewatch like Get Out did. Peele needs to earn that much artistic leeway you don't get it after 1 surprise hit movie. You gotta PAY YOUR DUES

I thought the ridiculousness was the point. I enjoyed all of the WTF moments. 8.5/10.

The wtf moments would be fine with just a little background on how these others got there. There's no logic to it.

I give a movie about 20 minutes, if it's not working at 21 minutes, there it goes. To sit and watch a bad movie....why?

That makes sense, you can't afford to waste time. You're old and frail, you could potentially croak at any minute.

I get why you feel that way but it's not meant to be logically bulletproof. Things are the way they are because they are. There's no origin story, there's no explanation that would follow the universe's laws. Things happen because they're metaphors for our reality.
It's better if you watch it the way you'd watch a Black Mirror episode. You don't need an explanation for why those little tabs can stick to your temples and completely alter your reality, you just accept that in that universe, they do.

Fine. Then he should have just made a Black Mirror episode. All that chase and kill monster bullshit in the middle was awful.

Even in Black mirror in most episodes I've seen I don't need to suspend this much disbelief.

Black Mirror was just an example, it's not the only film/TV franchise with conceits that defy physics and logic. You don't need to know why women can't have babies anymore to enjoy Children of Men.
Anyway, agree to disagree. I thought it was hilarious and entertaining throughout.

Right, children of men works because it's conceivable a disease or any number of things could cause worldwide infertility.
Off the top of my head, it's inconceivable that millions of people could live underground without being detected. Who fed these people? Where did they shit? Etc.
